Good stay close to highway and city centre

The location is very comfortable, few minutes away from the highway and roughly 30 minutes away by foot from the city centre. Breakfast has a good selection of products both sweet and savoury. Possibility to park for free in front of the hotel

The private parking is too expensive (13€ per day), and sometimes it's difficult to find a parking spot. It's hard not to flood the bathroom whiler showering since the screen only covers a part of it.

Stayed here many times and always have an exceptional time. For what you get for your money, there is no comparison.

I would be upset if anyone had anything bad to say about this hotel.

Good solid hotel however breakfast could be improved

I liked how friendly the staff were and the overall cleanliness of the hotel.

The room was smaller than expected which was a shame, and the breakfast was very basic - no bacon, sausages, or egg (apart from boiled) - which is something I expect in Germany (especially - they are known for their good quality meats) to be offered. Also it was a shame parking wasn’t free or a lower cost (13 euros a night is on the steep side).

Cleaned hotel & value for money

We have stayed at IHG Hotels many times, particularly Holiday Inn Express Hotels, in many European countries. We have enjoyed this hotel as much as all other IHG Hotels. I must mention particularly about Receptionist, Cosima, who went an extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. When we checked in I did not mention I am an IHG member, since I did the booking via booking.com. However, after checking and after having dinner we came to the hotel bar for drinks. Just before we ordered drinks Cosima came to us and said "I found out that you are an IHG member, and therefore, as a thank we would like to offer 2 complimentary drinks". I was very surprised not just getting 2 complimentary drinks, but she went beyond her job and searched our names, so she found out I am an IHG member. We were so touched by her service-minded attitude. Cosima was the once who checked us in, that too very quick & professional. Everything in the room was clean and organized. We will definitely stay once again at IHG hotels.

Breakfast - we are aware almost all IHG hotels provide breakfast incl. in the rooms which is a huge a service to the guests. However, if the hotel can provide bit more hot items that would be perfect.

Great hotel, very comfortable and only a short walk from town!

Lovely welcome on arrival, the rooms were very nice and spacious, it's a new hotel so not much not to like, the location is good, only a short pleasant walk to the train station, the bonus is a large supermarket across the road for supplies and a great takeaway pizza restaurant just a few yards down from the front door of the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful, no complaints at all, far from it, I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Offenburg.

Basic hotel with disappointing attitude

Basic hotel with many rooms and spacious sitting area.

We were part of a group of 8 people in total, and when 2 of us had a car break down and arrived a day after because of that, not only we did not get any refund for the night we missed (after we provided the proof of road assistance), but we had to pay an even higher price to book the next night. Their argument was that we canceled too late and they could not sell our room to another client, but that is untrue because the hotel was not full, so they really did not lose any money from us arriving a day after because of our car incident. They were obviously not obliged to offer us any refund, but it would be much appreciated if they made an effort to make a little discount for us on the second night, or at least offer us the room in the original price and not more. Even offering us the parking ticket (10 EUR per night) for free, or any other little thing, would be a nice gesture. The breakfast is very basic and slow. I think they do not offer trays on purpose, so that people are discouraged to get too much from the buffet, but that makes people go back and forth several times and waiting in the queue every time. Also, there are not enough tables to sit. I cannot imagine how worse it would be if the hotel was full, which was not the case when we were there.

We booked 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights but unfortunately they didn’t do the rooms. Every night we had to order clean towels. We beds were not done nor the cleaning of the rooms.

Modern hotel with amazing staff!

The hotel staff is so kind and pleasant! Check-in was seamless. The lobby is modern and hotel is very well kept and clean. Breakfast pancakes are the best! Our room was clean and comfortable and although facing the railroad - we could not hear any passing train. We would definitely visit again!

The location of the hotel is in a bit "shady" part of the town. There were drunk people sitting in front of the hotel and later arrested by police. The same happened the following day when we were checking out as well. Private parking is 10€ - a bit overpriced but I would not recommend parking a car on the street. The hotel does not have a restaurant and restaurants around are not the most pleasant to visit. Breakfast area is small and overcrowded and definitely loud - so, no relaxing breakfast. Also, the beds could be a bit bigger.

Nice place to give a break on the road

We stayed for a night on the road to give a break and have some rest before we continue. It was clean and comfortable. Late checkin is possible since the desk is available 24hours which is good.

The hotel has parking place however it is paid parking which is strange. If they put water in rooms, it would be good.

Perfect hotel

A quite new hotel and looks everywhere clean and perfect. Good size rooms (the queen size). Location is good, near to the station and about 10-15 min to the city centre. Rooms at the back have nice views on the hills but also the railways. But with the window closed you don't hear them. Overall the room is very quiet. Parking is available at the street or private behind the hotel for €10 a day. Breakfast is served downstairs and is good. Different breads, cereals, boiled eggs, a (American) pancake machine (!), fruits, juices and coffee and tea. Is served from 7.00-11.00. Friendly staff.

Paid parking. We had a problem with a room that was very smoky by a previous guest, we were very surprised how it was possible to offer a room in this condition to a new guests. It was impossible to open the window for ventilation, we had to walk late at night and ask the staff to change the room. This influenced our overall impression of these hotels

Great stay for a stopover

It is an ideal one-night stop on your way to your final destination. Private parking.. if needed. Easy access to hotel. A mortorway nearby to continue your journey. Even a trainstation 5 minute walk away!

The breakfast is OK, but do not expect miracles. There were only cooked eggs and a small variety of everything else, but for a short and simple breakfast, it can be described as OK.

The location is such, that you will need to park the car on the parking of the hotel, but it can happen that you take the card, get in, realize that the hotel's parking space is full and then later, they will try to charge you for that 1-minute entrance to the parking space. The whole system with the parking is badly organized.
