A comfortable hotel at a beautiful location and worth returning!

I love the location and the beautiful village Berghaupten. The service is very good. And the rooms are very good just what you need for a night on passage through to the Netherlands. Very good price value! The restaurant is very cosy and serves nice dishes at reasonable prices. The breakfast is very good!

Superb

room was large, airy and clean. the restaurant was very good and the staff very friendly. surrounding area is well worth exploring with Gengenbach having many food outlets and other shops. One of our most enjoyable stays in Germany.

small point. The stairwell was uncarpeted and noisy, particularly when people are moving around in the early hours. woke me up. They were not being unreasonable, just the construction echoes noisily, but I don't know what they could do about it and it may only effect the rooms opening onto the stairwell as ours was.

Fine old-school hospitality with very good food - a perfect stay

This was a very good family-owned hotel in the Black Forest with a superb restaurant! Fine old-school hospitality with a lovely selection of food and great atmosphere. The room was spacious and airy, very clean with lovely crisp linen covered, perfectly comfortable beds and with a balcony to enjoy the sunset and a view into the quiet countryside. We had an excellent stay and would certainly recommend this hotel.

Comfortable family hotel

We loved the spacious room with lots of storage. The bathroom was large with great lighting and a very nice shower. The heated towel rack was a plus. Breakfast was great with fresh breads, eggs cooked to order, coffee ready at each table, fruits, yogurt and cheeses.

Lovely place in a quiet village. Clean and comfortable with nice staff. I would stay there again.

The room was nicely arranged for a twin bed. There was also room for a desk and a chair and small coffee table. The bathroom was clean and nice. And I was on the shady side of the hotel which was good since it was warm that weekend. The reception area for the hotel is beautiful. I was able to eat at the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious and prepared perfectly. I also tried the breakfast buffet one morning and it was great too for a typical German breakfast. Plenty of bread, meat, cheeses, juices, etc and cooked to order eggs. The hotel had a parking lot for numerous cars. There were beautiful small flower gardens - roses, a beautiful, butterfly bush in full bloom, etc - at the hotel too.

The one thing little thing that I was not expecting was there was not a bar of soap for the bathroom. All the soap was liquid soap. It was my first stay in a German hotel so maybe this is normal. But this was not an issue.

Unglaublich schönes Hotel mit extrem freundlichen Personal. Schönen Zimmern und großem Parkplatz.

Sehr schönes Anwesen. Vermittelt sofort einen wertigen und extrem gemütlichen Eindruck. Extrem freundliches Personal. Tolles Frühstück. Leider konnte ich aus zeitlichen Gründen das Restaurant nicht testen, aber der Geruch im Hotelrestaurant lies großartiges Vermuten. Auf jeden Fall ein Hotel, das ich nciht nur geschäftlich nutzen würde, sondern auch zum Urlaub machen. Super Lage und großer Parkplatz. Sehr toll.
