Osteria Pozzo

Great location, approx 14 min walk from the station and surrounded by many shops/restaurants. Bed was comfortable and clean. AC was great. Shared toilet but only between a couple of people and was mostly clean. Lovely corridor & toilet fragrance.

On the last day whilst I was asleep, I heard a knock which woke me up approximately 8:30am. I dismissed it as thought it was maybe the room next door. When I went to the toilet, I locked my door behind me 100% as I have always done, but when I came back someone (I am assuming the cleaner) had opened it and left it open. This is frustrating because, checkout is at 10am, and we should not be bothered until 10am. If this is an issue checkout should be moved to an earlier time. Furthermore, was this person willing to take responsibility if any of my things were stolen?

The place was clean

The WiFi could only be detected on the first floor. If your room is on a higher floor then the WiFi doesn’t work at all.

The lady was really accommodating and helpfully made the bed a twin bed and we had a marvellous meal there - the best of our holiday. For a shared bathroom and loo it was really excellent.

Beautiful location on a lovely Piazza square with outdoor seating in the square for drinks and food. Just a few minutes walk to the main Locarno town square. The people were very helpful and nice. You can drive up to the hotel and drop off your luggage, but you can not park for more than 15 minutes. Windows were very well insolated to block out street noise.

WIFI in the room did NOT work. There was no bathroom in the room. The information at the start of Bookings.com was deceptive as it describes rooms with a private bathroom, there was not. No elevators only stairs.
