Great central location in a lovely Piazza, newly remodeled, but no elevator or private bathroom.

Beautiful location on a lovely Piazza square with outdoor seating in the square for drinks and food. Just a few minutes walk to the main Locarno town square. The people were very helpful and nice. You can drive up to the hotel and drop off your luggage, but you can not park for more than 15 minutes. Windows were very well insolated to block out street noise.

WIFI in the room did NOT work. There was no bathroom in the room. The information at the start of Bookings.com was deceptive as it describes rooms with a private bathroom, there was not. No elevators only stairs.

A disappointment.

They were polite, and the interior of the room was comfortable.

It all started when I arrived, and they told me the room had no openable shutters due to building work, i.e. no view. They were polite, I was tired, so I accepted this. (Though they should more properly have put this to me in advance, with the chance to cancel.) Then they processed my payment, and stated that I would receive the tourist-tax-paid-for Ticino Card.....at some point.....maybe it takes a long time.....maybe in the spam folder.....so I didn't stress about it not arriving on the Saturday. On the Sunday, the day I needed this tourist card for (since it gives free public transport over a large area), it still hadn't arrived, and there was nobody to ask. So after I got home I requested refund of the fee for it. The hotel agreed to refund me this amount, but refused to do this the normal way, i.e. back to my payment card. They wanted to use an App, but really they can't demand that I set up a new account in such a way! Then they agreed to an IBAN transfer, and I stated to them that in that case they had to take on both remitter & recipient fees. (Or refund to my payment card, so easy!) They said they'd sent me the refund as agreed....it didn't arrive....after over a week I asked about this.....and radio silence. So overall a very disappointing place to stay, quite ruined my weekend in Locarno.

I liked Locarno and the Ticino people but next time I will choose a place with better money value.

Exceptional friendliness of all staff.

Accomodation price ripoff - I paid price for 2 although I stayed alone. Toilet and bath shared by 5 rooms. No breakfast.

Nice and clean room, located in the city center, close to the station.

The place is too loud until late evening, there is a restaurant downstairs. Rather expensive, but it's Switzerland.

Location is very good, at the ege of the old town. There are good eating option near by. Bed is comfortable.

Wifi signal is not stable at all. Too many people share toilet and shower (evern different floors). Difficult to find the reception at the first glance. Bar/Reception is not so friendly when there are lot of guests in the bar.

Nice place for a short stay in Locarno

My room was a single tiny room but has a semi-private terrace with views over the square that was beautiful. The shared bathrooms were always in good conditions.

The staff upon check-in didn't provide the wifi password.

- thin walls: if you are a sensitive sleeper, you might get woken up by the nearby church bells or commotion in the staircase. - I was okay with sharing the bathroom facilities with other guests, but not having them on the same floor was a surprise. - Check-in at the restaurant is tricky when it’s full and the servers are busy.

I liked the location, the very friendly staff and the good quality of the bed.

The fact the toilet for the Osteria customers is located in the stairwell, so it can get a bit noisy during the weekend if there are drunk customers going to the toilet.

Pretty good hotel, would recommend for the low price

Good hotel

Before I can enter my room there is a small balcony which belongs to the booked apartment and other it's not for other guests, however it isn't locked and other guests just entered and sat there, even though they knew they weren't supposed to. Would be great if that door had a lock too. Also there is no real check-in desk, it's the poeple from the restaurant below who manage it and it was therefore a bit busy and I waited a little... That's pretty much it
