This centrally located hotel met our needs and we would stay here again.

We had our dog with us so they gave us a room with a very lovely balcony in case our need wanted to be outside. We had a gorgeous view from our balcony. The bed was perhaps a bit hard for most people but I found it comfortable. The location was very central and easily accessible on foot or by bus.

The restaurant staff also manned the hotel reception so they weren't very accessible. I appreciate it when hotels provide a bowl of water for your dog, but this one did not.

Great location, nearby restaurants and easy to locate. Rooms were clean and decent.

All the facilities were good but no drinking water provided and no kettle to boil water either, so having the coffee alone in the room was not practical. The TV didn't have anything in English to watch like hbo, star movies etc, so felt like the TV didn't serve any purpose really.

Rooms on top floor are very quiet, some with terrace. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent, lots of fish and seafood.

The boiled egg for breakfast could have been warm - but that's a lot of work and a small complaint about a nice breakfast.

Very close to the city center, very clean, big enough for a couple.

Our room was next to the stairs so very loud. It was like sleeping next to the restaurant. More than that, light from the stairs bothered us all night long.

Nice stay in Locarno

The room was nice, comfortable bed, with a cute small balcony. The location is quite central and convenient. The breakfast had a good variety. Complementary coffee in the room.

There could be some noise in the street as it is very central. With windows closed it is fine but this might not be desirable in a warm night as there is no AC or fan.

The service of the staff was excellent therefore I could overlook the accomodation flaws.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very good in house seafood restaurant. Great location if you're looking for a place to stay in the old town.

The rooms had a fan but no AC - during the heat waves it was challenging to cool down / sleep. The Bathroom was very small with the toilet seat in a shared space with the shower. That can be okay, if it's mentioned before booking it.

Room was clean. Good location for trekking and nice nearby restaurants. The personnel was friendly.

No wardrobe or even shelves in the room at all, very uncomfortable. Breakfast was of rather poor quality (certainly not the "very good breakfast" they announce in booking.com). Very noisy in the night when the restaurant has guests. No lift available. No personal upon arrival; no information was given beforehand on the code for the door.

Disappointing

Friendly staff.

The room for 1 person was way overpriced compared to other weekends (>300 for 2 nights in a 2* hotel) although the last event in the city (Locarno movie festival) finished the week before. The room was small but ok, except for the heading section of the bed covered with bare foam and the night stands made of cardboard boxes (picture). The breakfast was lacking of choice.

Up to my expectations in a peaceful and genuine area of the city

As a single traveler spending most of my time outside, the room was small without any view but a fit for my need and nicely quiet. Some parts have been refurbished and emphasized the character of this historic building. Don’t pretend any air con nor a lift, it’s clearly stated there aren’t, one knows before booking. Breakfast was complete, including fresh fruit. I know this peaceful area of Locarno well and really enjoy it.

A good solution in Old Locarno for fit guests and when the weather is not too hot.

Super location, cozy room, excellent bathroom, good breakfast.

The Hotel is 2 stars, so one cannot have exceeding expectations. On the other side Switzerland is supremely expensive, so it costs over 200 CHF/Euros: so one would hope to have air conditioning and possibly even... a lift. To make a long story short, we would have enjoyed our nice room much more if it wouldn't have been very hot and if we wouldn't have had to carry our luggage for three floors no less than 60-70 steps.

breakfast was GREAT! It's a simple accommodation but very well located to explore the town without needing to go by car.

In our room was a tube coming from the kitchens which was quite noisy as we arrived, in the evening it was finally turned off, after we asked.

Convenient place to stay in the Old Town.

Location in the Old Town is nice, breakfast is good. Nice staff.

The room is very small and there is the strong smell of the kitchen due to the ventilation system even though the room is on the 3rd floor. No lift and high floors for heavy luggage.
