Get something better.

Nice staff.

Shared bathroom dirty, not cleaned even in the morning, the room smelled really bad and our towels had someone’s hair in it making me question if they were even washed. The quality really not worth that price. The hotel doesn’t have its own parking, the parking the hotel meant are literally all around the city.

Not as nice as the photos showing

Photos are only for show in the main building and other rooms are not as nice. On booking.com was marked with parking and there was no parking at the hotel but you can choose parking on the street or at an extra cost. in a public car park. We have travelled on motorbikes and it was stressful at night .but no dramas.

The reception is only in the same building as in the picture. But the rooms aren't in the same building and also the renovation work is going on. Totally disappointed

The location was in the center of the historical city

The reception was the worst i ever met in hotels, and the room was not in the same as hotel building but in behind building with too smiley room. If you don't find another place, sleep in your car at least you will not meet the reception lady 😅

Comfortable and romantic

Value for money is amazing. Our room was very large and romantic, with a balcony from a fairytale. The common bathroom was clean and comfortable since it has the toilet, sink and bathtub all together. The breakfast was great, in a very cool old place. You could tell the hotel exists for a very long time, the service is great, we had all we needed. And the location could not have been better.

Some design features and furniture in the room need an upgrade. The mattress is ok, could be better.

Disappointing

Location is central. Access was easy. Staff were friendly.

Our room had a small window facing a narrow, dark alley so little natural light. Not much space around the bed for luggage, or space to hang wet coats, etc. Small bedside table was cluttered with an old telephone. In short, the room and bathroom need serious updating.

Late Summer in Locarno

Perfect location for a stay in Locarno - at the market square in close proximity to the train station and bus stops (free with ticino ticket). We stayed in the 'easy rooms' which share a bathroom but are adequate for a weeks stay if you want to explore ticino and neighbouring italy - hikes in the mountains (Bosco Gurin), trips to Milano and Como. I have been here multiple times - opt for the breakfast for a bit of morning treat with Swiss Muesli and local charcuterie.

Price definitely to high for a mid week in a mid season for a basic non hotel room. With just small price correction this place would be great value for money, even for a non hotel room. Specially for families

The location was good and it was exactly as stated. It is nothing fancy but for the price it is good.

Nothing really, it was a little noisy at night because I faced the piazza but that is to be expected and I had ear plugs so it really wasn’t a problem.

Friendly, consistent, and well placed. Easy to get things done, and enjoy your time, especially at night! Nice style, popular restaurant, and between all key spots!

Run down and could use an upgrade…The money has been made, uplifting the place would make a huge difference! A bit noisy at night, but thats normal for the night lift areas ;)

Mean staff

I got the dates wrong on the website and made the reservation too quickly and the staff was quite rude on the phone saying Booking had a strict policy and wouldn’t want to let us change. but when we called booking they were perfectly fine with us cancelling the reservation so we called the hotel back and they were categoric and wouldn’t let us cancel

The only positive thing is the location, but there are many central hotels in Locarno

The room was dark - 2m in front of the window there wad the wall of the next house. No way to see any sky. There was not even a cabinet where you can put your clothes. You cannot close the window, because it is so old and deformed. There is no common room, where you can relax in the evening. The ‘bar’ is part of the restaurant. Additionally I would recommend to take the breakfast in any of the coffee shops around, where you certainly will not get filtered coffee (and this in Ticino!) and you get fresh Gipfeli and the fruit salad will not be out of a can. I cannot recommend this place, sorry
