Quiet, Clean and Comfortable, however the male host at Ashworth is rude and not welcoming.

The location was quiet, clean, comfortable and having a smoking area outside for guests was awesome, it felt like a home away from home, well done. This was my third stay as my Dad has been in hospital over the last 2 months and being a walk away from the hospital was amazing, we could leave the car there and walk, no parking fees, no stress.

The male host at Ashworth is rude and could cause you to lose customers, he made us feel like we had done something wrong, we did not feel welcome on this last stay. The third time we were told it was a $200 deposit when it was only $100 for the 2 previous stays. We only paid $100 for the last stay, however it took a week to refund the deposit, we called on the Tuesday and was told rudely by the male host that it was done and it would be in our account within 2 hours, it was not, we had to wait until the Friday before it showed up. Many of the phone calls following up the deposit owed to us were answered by the female host who was so nice and welcoming and was helpful. This is very unfortunate and me and my whānau will not be staying at Lorne apartments while the male host is still there.

I love everything about this property, this is my second time staying, I would highly recommend this property especially if you have someone in hospital that you need to get to quickly. Well done Lorne apartments.

The accomodation is exactly what we needed for our overnight stay

The kitchen and lounge was perfect for our requirement. The bed was very comfortable. Had the best sleep after a long day on the road

There is a stench at the bottom in the carpark. Need to figure out what it is and get rid of the smell.

Handy to hospital. Room clean and top-up efficient and good standard.

Leaky dishwasher. Kitchen a strange configuration. Exit door extremely difficult to open/close. Soap dispenser in shower gave a terribly mean amount. Could hear neighbours through kitchen wall.

Well positioned to town, hospital, lake, gardens etc. Staf were very helpful and friendly. Beds were comfy and facilities were excellent and unit was very clean and tidy. Parking was easy.

It was good because this property works well for us😊

*The separate bedroom is great. It is so helpful for us as hubby goes to bed early and I dont! *Lots of appliances that are so useful for travellers. *The location is the biggest bonus for us as it is very close to the hospital.

There has been a hugely offensive smell coming from the next section. We were there on a very hot day but couldn't open the windows because of the smell. It has been like that for about 6 months. There is also a smell under the sink. Is it related? The shower needs a good clean. (The wall up above the shower, the fan, and inside the shower). No English Breakfast Tea!!!!! Again * We stay here every two months for a hospital appointment

Perfect location to hospital

Clean, dry & within walking distance to hospital. The beds were super comfy with lovely fresh linen. All the home comforts.

Direct flight path for helicopters to the hospital. Cars speeding up and down the street with loud exhausts and to the people upstairs I could hear every footstep until 11pm

Location close to work. Very comfortable, secure and spacious.

No staff or key box on site. Had to travel to another motel to pick up the key. Should have a better arrangement, especially for late arrivals without a car.

Shower pressure was good. Was close to hospital. Could easily walk there. Spacious apartment with generous amenities.

Terrible noise from the main road. We booked as other reviews said it was quite. This was not the case. They moved us the 2nd night as we complained. Unit b was much better. Would unlikely stay again here.

Large, well-laid-out apartment with friendly staff, though hot water ran out quickly

Large well layout apartment, spacious bathroom, kitchen and rooms. Staff were very pleasant to deal with.

Not much hot water, this ran out after one shower on both days. The rooms could do with extra blankets, only one extra woollen blanket in the apartment, but 3 beds. And a bit annoying having to pick up the keys at a different location, but understandable as there isn't a reception area at the apartments.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Terrible experience. They don’t mention that you have to go somewhere else, in the opposite direction, to collect the keys—which is incredibly inconvenient when you have a loved one in hospital and time is of the essence. After finally collecting the key and spending $50 on Uber fees, I returned to the property only to find that the key didn’t work and I couldn’t get in. I called and told them I just wanted to cancel and get a refund so I could return to my dad, who was in intensive care. They said they couldn’t issue a refund because of Booking.com’s policy. But after speaking to Booking.com, I found this wasn’t true. Booking.com tried to contact them, and in the end, they offered me just 10% off. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful behaviour. This place is not worth the stress—avoid at all costs.

Would definitely book again, it was my home base that was nice to escape away from the hustle and bustle of the hospital

It was so close to the hospital, a perfect place for me to come back after visiting my partner in hospital. I could just relax, do any washing etc and then go back up. No need to use the car. It was also so comfortable and so warm, a perfect place to set up base and felt like a home away from home.
