Great location, nice room, comfortable bed. Helpful staff.
Tight entryway into the hotel and you have to carry your luggage up many steep steps before you reach the check-in desk.
It’s located right outside the restaurant where you can check in and get the tiny elevator to the other floors.
So if you expect a real lobby, this hotel does not have it.
Tip. Go up to the desk and ask for help to bring up your luggage if it’s heavy.

The staff was very helpful, reserving a taxi for my departure, assisting with my luggage on the stairs. It was nice to have a comfortable place for a drink on the property. Best of all were the location and the lovely view.
Although there was an elevator to my room from check-in, there was quite a number of stairs from the street to the lobby.

The location is exceptional as was the first floor dining room/restaurant/bar with a sunny terrace overlooking then port. An excellent live Blues band on the Friday night through midnight created a great atmosphere in the bar.
The hotel badly needs an overhaul, like that been done for 30+ years seemingly. The rooms and doors had taken a hit of a battering, with dents in chipboard doors. Worst was the smell in the room, which I finally put down to the pillows/mattess and duvet. Smelt mouldy/musty. A very uncomfortable sleep.
