Hôtel & Suites Maison Montgrand - Vieux Port

Really fantastic suite. Nice and spacious and thoughtfully styled. The bed was comfortable and the aircon was cold which was a must in the heat. Fridge worked and it had a small kitchenette with glasses and cutlery. The main hotel is stylish, the courtyard is great for a drink. We didn't eat here as due to the great location, there are fantastic restaurants a short walk away in every direction. The majority of rooms, including mine are in annex buildings dotted around nearby to the reception and bar building. This was a non issue.

No complaints. We had friends who had to book rooms at this hotel same day and the hotel accommodated which was fantastic. They got the smaller rooms, which they would not recommend lol. One was giving dungeon vibes from these strange basement style windows (still all clean though). So I recommend go large or go home when booking ;)

The Hotel was fine but there WERE issues. Breakfast was wonderful with a generous amount and a gorgeous open air garden in which to eat and relax. The hotel was close to the old harbour and all it's noisy fun - plus they had a relatively inexpensive arrangement with a nearby carpark for parking a couple of night.

The WIFI was more or less useless and there did not seem to be anything they could do about it. Telephoning the front desk was simple but their phone system distorted their voice into mechanical drivel and I had to go gown there (and it's in a different building) In the end they were not able to solve it. The lift to our room was so small that it was more or less impossible for two people and luggage to use it. All in all, the hotel seems to pride itself on being 'cool' but it's failing on some pretty basic points. If we had been there on business and had to deal with these issues I would have been livid

We appreciated the kindness and availability of your team to our needs. The room was clean and spotless. We felt really comfortable and loved the location.

Unfortunately, three things that were quite disappointing and unacceptable considering the hotel range and rate prices in our opinion as frequent travellers, are: 1. Really bad wifi signal - it barely connected or let us load basic images, texts or browse - which made it quite a bad experience as mobile data inside our room was also very bad, basically no coverage; Gladly, we were there for leisure, so we were quite disconnected. (We had a hard time doing online check-in or checking maps and bookings per instance) For a work trip, it would be extremely disruptive; 2. Locked central air conditioning with no temperature control - or mode options - we couldn't change the direction and/or temperature of the AC system - that made the room extremely hot or cold in a few moments of the day. 3. We already knew that the room didn't have a fridge or a minibar, but we were informed that the hotel could provide
