This property was ideal for our needs as contractors working in the area. Host responded quickly to queries. Would stay again.

Hard to see past the rude owner...
The double bed was okay. There was a parking space around the back.
On arrival, the property was not secure - the back door was left unlocked. I let the owner know, and he blamed it on the cleaner and said it was not a problem. As someone who suffers with anxiety, the thought of taking my family to stay in a property that wasn't secure wasn't a good one. The sofa was covered in stains. I let the owner know this too and he said that was fine. The TV in the living room had no channels tuned in and the only thing that did work was iPlayer, and even then, the screen was 'washed out' and blue. Again, the owner wasn't bothered by this. Then, on the evening, we discovered there was no hairdryer, despite the listing specifying there was one. The owner didn't care at all and said it wasn't his fault that the listing was wrong. I suggested he reimburse the £11 I had to spend to dry my 4 year-old's hair (I said I would leave the new dryer in the house), and he didn't seem to think that was a good idea either (he couldn't see how I was out of pocket due to his inaccurate listing).
We actually went away for mine and my daughter's birthdays, and to try to get some rest from a stressful job, but dealing with the owner via messages meant I had a pretty awful time. I'd seen in reviews previously that people had highlighted issues (including the TV not working, the stains on the sofa, and broken springs in the mattress - all pointed out to him a long time ago and clearly left unresolved) and his response was, "Well, you never said you had a problem." The owner is very clearly lacking in professionalism, and I'd hazard a guess that he feels no pride in his property, evident through lack of proper maintenance.
I don't doubt that he will reply to these negative remarks, as he has with other ones, and ultimately, I don't imagine he will care about this review. What I will say is that Booking.com were great when I raised a dispute.

The kitchen lacked suitable kitchen basics you need for a self catering property. I had to use my own that I had brought with me as kitchen not very well equipped.

Clear and Homely
Basic but very clean and homely, had everything you needed, and sent clear check-in instructions on the morning of arrival. And check on you whilst you're there to make sure everything is ok, Location was perfect for what we needed it for with only having to go 10 miles on the morning to our final destination this was the perfect resting point, beds were comfy very spacious would recommend and would definatly stay again.

Did the job
Everything we needed was there and both beds very comfortable.
On a main road with very little sound proofing and the look of the sofa really let's property down, if could cover with a throw or something would really help.

Was fully looking forward to a nice weekend which was ended early due to the property not being checked before arrival.
That is was close to the area we was visiting for the weekend and was suitable for 5 people
Sofa bed was very pungent and was in fact covered in cats urine. 2 adults slept on the floor due to not being able to stay on the sofa bed. We could not stay the extra night and left after only 24 hours. Informed the owners of the smell when we left as it was 11pm at night. I understand these issues happen but it is about how you deal with the problems. They wanted us to have a sofa bed swapped the following day but by this point was too late. Surely the property should of been checked before our arrival. Poor customer service from the renters
No offer of refund. Basically told we should have contacted and got another sofa bed they had in storage.

This house is perfect for a short break.
Location was excellent, great little functional house to use as base to see the area, beds were extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed and really well equipped, the house was spotlessly clean and well looked after, it was a nice touch to have clean fluffy towels and toiletries, nice private garden area, good parking.
The main road outside is really busy and probably not great for light sleepers staying in the main bedroom especially if its a warm evening and you need the window open. The seating arrangement isn't great, there was 3 of us, we all had a time limit on the 2 seater sofa as there is only so long you can sit on a wooden dining chair, unsure how 5 would get on, and if you fancy a night chilling in front of the TV its not the comfiest of living rooms, modern and minimalistic.

Relaxing enjoyable and peaceful
The keys were in a key safe which was easy to access as code was given. We also arrived earlier than expected and was able to check in straight away which was perfect after travelling 225 miles. We were all very great full. The house was a lovely size and was a lovely quiet area. It felt very safe are. Fresh clean and plenty of towels.
The tvs in the bedrooms didn’t hold signal so you were unable to watch tv up there that was the only little grumble

The cleanliness, rhe fact that there was soap and shower gel in the bathroom (though we had taken our own) and the facilities in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, location good for us. Not disturbed by traffic noise overnight even though on a main road. Liked the outdoor seating too.
Not enough comfortable seating in the living room,just 1 x 2 seater sofa and the dining set. Sofa bed not comfortable for sleeping on though ok as a sofa. Smart TV sets didn't work and had bad signal for standard channels.

Fantastic family visit, lovely clean and warm house with everything you could need for a short break
accommodation was basically as advertised and what was expected, house was very warm and quite considering it was a terrace house. Property came with everything we needed, and Anna and James were always approachable when needed. We would be more then happy to stay here again and would recommend to all our friends and family.
unfortunately the sofa bed in the living room that makes the property up to 5 guests was unusable meaning myself and my wife where left to sleep on the floor. This was not a problem for us however if not looked into may course issues in the future for other guests less understanding and adaptable.
