Lovely apartment with all amenities and lots of space.

Very late booking as family plans changed at the last minute so we needed alternative overnight accommodation. The apartment was huge and had everything needed for a short or longer stay. Would highly recommend.

The location was accessed via very steep, narrow roads which were a driving challenge in the dark but that is the only disadvantage and anyone with knowledge of the area would know this is common to the historical area.

Sadly disappointing on what could've been lovely.

Location was perfect. The apartment was a very generous size...homemade flapjacks a nice touch.

Unfortunately the accomodation was let down by quite a few things. The cleaning standards were very poor. Found a tissue under a bed and a rizla wrapper and a bottle top in another bedroom that my dog got hold of and was chewing. The oven was very dirty! and even the side had food on it...clearly not cleaned. One of the beds looked like it had been used and the linen was tired and the sheet didn't fit the bed!...beds were uncomfortable..very springy in both bedrooms...towels were old and one stained with bleach badly! The bathroom shower we struggled to get to work as ran from the taps had difficulty trying to raise the pull bit but after struggling my husband managed it but said it's in need of repair. Looking at old reviews this had been mentioned previously by someone...it also leaked water. The kitchen lighting was very poor and a minor thing...new battery probably needed in kitchen clock as wasn't working...but surely such a simple fix. Kettle really needed a descale. On arrival the communal stairs area was fillthy! Mud everywhere and clearly not from one day...there were tablets..antihistamines in one of the kitchen lower cupboards at reach of a child....a health and safety issue there and the kitchen table wobbled badly as leg/s very loose...we spilt our tea because of it...again another health and safety issue. Such a shame as these apartments with more love and maintenance could be beautiful...I hope these comments will be taken on board and addressed but I've read past comments mentioning some of the above so feel they haven't been actioned..hence we didn't contact the owners. We stayed only for 1 night but had it have been for longer we would've had to contact the owners.

Disappointing apartment in a lovely location

The location was lovely The kitchen was spacious and generally it's a well proportioned property for a family of four We were able to take our dogs

The entrance hall carpet and staircase was really grubby. In the ground floor hallway there were 3 mops and buckets against the wall as well as 'laundry bags' pushed into a corner. The property is somewhat jaded and in need of tlc. Inside one of the kitchen cupboards there were 8 bread rolls covered in green mould. The tray for cutlery contained crumbs. We felt the need to wash all items of crockery and cutlery before use. The beds were uncomfortable, made worse by the poor quality linens and duvets (which were so thin!). We had to replace the batteries in the TV remote control. Incidentally we had a visit from the 'regular' cleaner a couple of hours after check in. She had been sent by the owners to check up because a stand in cleaner had been used. We told her about the bread rolls and she asked if she should come in for a look around. I declined this, she was very pleasant and I told her it wasn't her fault.

Dissapointing compared to previous visits

Spacious, lovely location.

We have been coming here for a few years and was dissapointed this time! The apartment was not that clean, lots of marks and stains on the walls/ furnishings. No oven gloves. No kitchen towel or spray to wipe down sides. Christmas tree not out when it normally has been. Very few glasses and cutlery in drawers. Kitchen table very unsteady, unable to sit and have dinner as it was flimsy! Duvet cover missing buttons, so duvet comes all out.

Excellent accomodation

The comms were good from the owner. The flat was in excellent order and exactly what we wanted - very spacious and clean. The location was right where we needed to be - central for Ironbridge and visit to Shrewsbury. An all round excellent experience!

It was a nice property inside

Hard to find with narrow roads. We checked in late evening got lost and host would not pick up phone communicated by text and the keysafe code given by email was wrong.

Disappointing

Positives: The apartment was spacious, lovely size kitchen, which was well equipped with comfortable seats. The TV was easy to access. Lovely quiet position with no traffic noise. Well positioned for getting into Ironbridge and visiting the terrifc attractions close by like Blist Hills and Much Wenlock. Plenty of choice with places to eat. A delightful spot by the river at Jackfield The Half Moon Inn do great Mediterranean chicken skewers! The hosts had also left a very welcome plate of flapjack when we arrived. On the surface it was perfect. However....

The bed was far too soft and lumpy and we had chronic back ache every morning when we got up with the result we cut our stay short and left 2 days early and went into a hotel for those nights. Also, the duvet cover had no poppers on it and the duvet would slip out, which must have been the reason it was tucked in so tightly at the bottom. The kitchen table needed to be bigger and it was very wobbly. I had a look at it and the legs weren't screwed in tightly, which I rectified. We were unable to use the shower and had to bath as the switch to change from bath to shower was impossible to use. Also, behind the shower curtain the wall was showing evidence of mould. The seating area in the sitting room looked lovely but again was very soft and when we moved the cushions to try and make it more comfortable we were shocked to see masses of crumbs and other debris under the two seater settee cushions, we didn't look any further! My wife brought in a kitchen chair to sit on, which was far more comfortable. There was no indication of which of the wi-fi stations available was the one for Sedgewick. It was only through trial and error we eventually discovered the correct one. A note to this effect would have been extremely helpful.

The host didn’t reply to my text message. It was read but they didn’t respond. A neighbour living nearby seems to be all day on the doorstep watching everything and everyone. Found this offputting.

Lovely stay in fab apartment.

The apartment was lovely. On arrival it was clean and there was a little welcome treat (flapjacks) on the kitchen table which went down a treat! There are two spacious double bedrooms with nice bed linen and towels for everyone. The sitting room is a great space. The views are lovely. It's situated a really short walk from Ironbridge, but ne warned, it's a steep hill when you're coming back up!!!!!! Would definitely stay again, was a shame we inly stayed one night to be honest!

There were no champagne flutes for our prosecco.

Excellent appartment. Very clean and spacious. Comfortable bed. Fantastic kitchen with everything you need.

Curtain in the shower bath was problematic with some water getting onto the floor. Fixed by putting the curtain in the bath.

Lovely apartment located in a quiet spot at the top of the gorge.

Lovely sized apartment, nice and clean in a very peaceful location. The complimentary flapjack, tea and coffee were very welcome, thank you 😊

The kitchen table was very wobbly and one of kitchen cupboard doors wasn't fitted correctly and came away from the unit - both very minor things that didn't impact our stay. Maybe just a couple of things to consider adding are a couple of hooks on the back of the bedroom doors for coats and a pair of kitchen scissors.

Kitchen was very under resourced -absolute minimum equipment. No salad bowl, very few cooking tools, table in kitchen is very unstable with legs threatening to come off, and a few more I can't remember.

Exactly what was needed and much nicer than a Premier Inn stay!

High standard of accommodation and very warm and inviting. Plenty of space and good to have a designated parking spot too.

The bathroom gets damp and paint peeling from the side of the shower. The fan doesn't appear to be working either. Besides that, everything good.

A great spacious apartment in a quiet location

Overall the property was spacious, comfy and in a good location. It was spotless clean and had very good accessories

The shower rail had been removed and the shower therefore was not able to be used so that was poor. Is it possible to put taller markers on the car park wooden posts as they are very difficult to see when reversing out of the car park and I damaged my bumper and fog light.
