Cozy family get together

Comfy and homely little bungalow ideal for our family get together

Avoid this property

Everything. The stairs to the bungalow felt unsafe, and there was a huge muddy puddle at the bottom, so our trainers were muddy and wet even before we got into the bungalow. It was cold, postcode to find it took us down a dead end, beds were so uncomfortable that my husband and kids couldn’t sleep. Shower was filthy with grime in the corner. Blinds were dirty, tv in main bedroom had no programs to watch, and the lounge tv was even worse.

Ok for two nights.

The bungalow was small but clean and tidy. It was handy for the venues we required as we were staying for a wedding.

The stairs down. There is no mention of these in the description. The key for the gate is with the door key in the key safe therefore meaning you have to get down the stairs. I booked this as it was marked as being all on the ground floor. This is not strictly true. As a disabled lady who can cope in a 'normal' bungalow, I struggled. I really think this should be pointed out in the particulars. The dog wouldn't walk on the grates.There are no hand rails, which makes it very dangerous for small children or anyone who is slightly infirm, It really turned what should have been a pleasant stay into a bit of a nightmare. The whole place stank of cigarette smoke and we could not get the lid off the bin so couldn't remove our rubbish, Also there was no rubber safety mat for the shower.

The property has everything you could need when traveling, lovely enclosed garden back and front. Excellent communication with really pleasant and helpful staff.

We did not really like the few steps to the property, it was a struggle with baby pram. We did find out about the locked gate at the rear of the garden, this made things easier.

Excellent find

The property was easy to find and very private. Shops close by and only a few mins from the train station. Checking in was a breeze, and the patron even checked in on us via email to ensure we had the perfect stay . I highly recommend. We will be returning very soon. Thankyou

Place needs to be cleaner and owner/host more helpful

, 100s of cigarette butts in the back garden along with leaves dirt and branches , very unclean in the garden ( was reported to owner/host of the bungalow and he didn’t even have the decency to respond to that part ) inside the armchair was broken the coffee table was extremely wobbly pictures in the wall had holes from being punched , to top it off the sugar container in the kitchen was filled with salt when I reported to owner/host that I was almost sick from drinking a cup of tea with 2 teaspoons of salt and the reply I got was nothing short of you should of brought your own… owner/host , also there was a firestick remote with no batteries and no firestick in the TV so that was a little disappointing too, overall very disappointing

Good instructions were give to the property. I went with a 92 year old so wanted a bungalow. The steps were a bit of an issue but instructions about the side gate were helpful. The layout was good and carpets were clean. I read a review about overgrown garden and that had been cut back. So they do listen to feed back. Quiet stay and slept well. Pillows were really comfortable.

The accommodation would have been better if it had been cleaner and it wouldn’t take much to improve this. Most of the property was clean, but the sofa and arm chair were filthy and needed cleaning. There was food down the side of the oven from previous guests and I had to clean trays before use. Two minute job to pull it out and wash it and just check baking trays, although there were a good supply. Food on the carpet from previous guest in double room right hand side of bed and hand prints on wall behind the bed. Very easy to clean with a cloth and hover. The hand rail in the shower was falling off which is dangerously for an old person and is an east fix. The shower was a good design. The shower hose was black, a replacement would cost £10. The broken bench in the garden should be removed to prevent an accident, but think there was evidence they were tidying up the garden.

Superb

Bungalow well presented ideal location for wellington Town centre was impressed with the size and hidden well back also got a garden and washing line to hang clothes out after you have washed them in the washing macjine provided. Tea coffee and sugar provided nice to be able to have a brew but maybe a few milk could be provided like they have in hotels.

The mattress in the main bedroom was very squeaky and uncomfortable so didn't get a great night's sleep so had to swap beds. So I would recommend a change of mattress . I also think the garden needs to be cut back a bit but garden bench in a lovely disposition . I would stay here most definitely again wasn't a problem changing beds only 2 of us.

Ok stay

well located and quiet

The whole place smells like horrible cigarettes and the bathroom were filthy. No toiletries- when in the description said it will have - we arrived at 11pm all tired and dirty and found out no shower gel/soap- luckily we had by chance a small shower gel with us which we all share. No enough toilet paper. we ended up using kitchen towels

Clean, tidy, convenient. This was a great find and I highly recommend it, beats any hotel in my opinion. Great value for money, lovely and warm, would definitely stay here again, I actually loved it that much I didn't want to leave the place. Look forward to staying here again!!!

It was convenient for our stay. The pillows were amazing!

The property on the whole was nice and clean but there were a few things that let it down. Behind the bathroom sink and toilet were really dirty and it stood out because the rest was clean. The inside handle on the bathroom door was being held on with dirty, frayed, silver gaffa tape and we were left out a dirty t-towel (which was the only one). The steps down to the bungalow were littered with all sorts of nasty rubbish and it sadly made the bungalow look unwelcoming.
