Absolutely nothing I advise anyone who looks at this property to avoid within a mile, it’s filthy and un habitable. When we called booking.com to advise we didn’t want to stay they owner was abusive and threatened to send court papers to my home address.
The snot on the sofa the overgrown brow garden the dirt cobwebs black moldy bathroom the brown on the back of the shower curtain. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Was threatened with court papers because we didn’t want to have our young children in a dirty house. Mentioned my home address which he should not have access to. Took our money and hasn’t refunded

Fine for contractors, but not what I expect from a family house
The location is good & the house could be very nice for families is a little attention & money was spent. I feel it was really more aimed at contactors than families. Reasonably clean, but see the points below.
My concerns
There was no Carbon monoxide alarm (I always take my own, but good practice & the law in long term rentals is to have one. Holiday let law is very lacking imo)
The boiler was in a locked cupboard in the main bedroom this feels particularly dangerous
There were not fire extinguishers as advertised
It was advertised as a non smoking property, but there were very obviously heavy smokers using the property, butts in the BBQ was particularly vile. The house wasn't smelly but the cleaning staff should have removed the butts from the garden , I find it hard to believe that amount was for a single guest. But regardless I should not have to see them, or keep the kids away from them
The washing machine drawer had mould
The garden cushion cupboard was dirty
Many of the electrics were on extension cables which is poor practice
There was no stair gate (advertised as family let) more minor but something families should note as the stairs are steep
The upstairs windows had no safety feature so we dare not have them open as kids could easily fall out (it was a mega hot summer weeks when we were there)
The toaster knob made operation difficult
There was no extractor in the kitchen which made cooking awkward
The single beds need new mattresses, if you look at previous reviews this has been noted multiple times for several years.. The springs could be felt when lying on the mattresses.
I've looked at other poor reviews, after my visit as I was surprised it was so highly rated, lesson learnt look at all the reviews before booking. Please look at other reviews and the owner's comments to get a fuller picture.. I have photos of much of the above which I'll upload if I can.
Owner tends to say on other reviews why didn't you say this at the time. Reason, I was there on holiday not to have to deal with all the above.

The house had what we needed and was situated in central to where we wanted to visit
It was nicely situated for where we were planning to visit on our trip
The property needs a little TLC, things that are needed to be used such as the toaster and kettle probably could do with replacing, the mattresses’ springs were felt easily and they were noisy
The previous residents had smoked inside the house and there was still a slight smell of smoke in the main bedroom. We were unable to tidy our rubbish into the correct bins due to them being full (rubbish in the recycling and flies in the bin)

The cleaning could be better. There were alot of cobwebs and spiders all around under the sofa / sofa bed was alot of dirt and dust.

It was in a good location central to everything, it was spacious clean and modern inside. Plenty of privacy and space to do what we wanted to. No need for kitchen utensils, spare bedding or towels it was all provided for.
We couldn’t utilise the garden as it could have done with some maintenance I.e the grass cutting and as a family with some nicer weather we could have done with using it.

OK if you are desperate and need to stay in the area. If the issues are addressed it could be good
The location was close to where I needed to be so that was good. It was also dog friendly so that was a bonus too. The road was quiet, sometimes you can never tell. Communication with the host was good but he didn't want to accept our comments but there wasn't any talk of any kind of compensation
Unfortunately the main thing was that we hardly slept. The bed wasn't comfortable and the boiler, being in the cupboard in the main bedroom, was very noisy and kept us awake. My wife even tried on of the other beds and they were just as bad. The heating did work but it took a long time to warm up. The light in the one bathroom didn't work either which meant that you couldn't use the bathroom once it was dark.
Although they knew we were bringing dogs the grass hadn't been cut, and looked like it hadn't been cut for a few months.
The furniture was basic to say the least and the sofa and one armchair were very dirty/stained. As I mentioned above I pointed the issues out to the host but he didn't want to accept our comments and didn't offer any compensation. Not sure how 6 people could manage with just the one toilet.

Quiet location near to local amenities and main roads.
Parking, had to bump up large step for off road. Limited road parking that has to be shared with neighbours due to being in a culdesac.
Cleansiness, even though house was clean it has a few mold issues around some of the windows and in the corner of ceiling in the kitchen due to shower that leaks when used. (Owners have been told hopefully rectified.)

The hosts seemed polite, friendly and helpful via email. The box was easy to locate and access with the code provided.
The location is not good as there are several issues in the immediate vicinity making it feel somewhat unsafe. The owners said that it was a none smoking facility however upon opening the door we were overwhelmed by the smell of tobacco and there were tobacco items on the ground in the back garden and outhouse side section of the building leading to the garden. The crockery, oven and cutlery were exceptionally dirty and the general state of repair within the house needs attention. I definitely would not recommend this property nor use booking.com for future accommodation.

Could be nice if somebody cared about the place
Great location, lots of space and a large enclosed garden. Nice and quiet in the area but not far from local amenities
It was not very clean at all. The sofa bed had stains all over it, curtains have holes in, damage to the kitchen units and there’s a strong smell of ammonia in the hallway once the air freshener had worn off. The beds were extremely noisy and uncomfortable. We travelled to attend a family wedding and needed space for the dogs. After driving for hours, we thought it was acceptable but had to wash all the dishes ourselves as they were dirty and ran the hoover round. We woke the next morning covered in bites, which I initially thought to be fleas. Upon reflection, it became clear that it was bed bugs. Our entire party had been bitten in clusters and lines where our bodies touched the beds and it was incredibly itchy and uncomfortable while attending the wedding. If we could’ve found somewhere else at short notice with the dogs, we would’ve done. Instead we bought sleeping bags and slept in them clothed. The day after the wedding, I complained to Booking and they contacted the owners, who said they had called and text to put it right, which didn’t happen. The build up of black mould in the bathroom was atrocious and the skirting boards and edges of the rooms were thick with dust. When we arrived, it was 33c outside. When we went for a shower, we noticed some of the radiators kicked in, meaning the hot water must run through them. Not good. The water in the shower was inconsistent, so going hot and cold repeatedly. The bath has a big brown stain at the bottom which wouldn’t come up. A bit sparse on utensils, couldn’t find scissors or a tin opener. Clearly the driveway can’t be used as the curb hasn’t been dropped so parking is tight. I was also a bit concerned that what seems to be asbestos roofing over the side alley to garden is damaged and needs replacing. I wouldn’t stay again but it could be nice if it lovingly cared for, rather than a cash cow. Replying to genuine concerns about health and safety with “But there’s flat screen TVs” is completely irrelevant. Shame

The location really suited us. Liked the use of wifi and Netflix. Key broke in lock and was fixed immediately for us. Owner was on call and friendly.
The place had a good enclosed garden but it was so over grown we could not get the benefit from it. Double bed very uncomfortable this is due to feeling all springs in mattress not about preference. On a personal note I think It would be better as a 4 person property with a decent sofa and chair in front room.

Nice little place with thoughtful touches
Nice sized house with a big garden which you can use. Spacious rooms and all clean - plenty of basics incase you need them like coffee sugar, tea and washing up liquid, shampoo, shower gel. Very close to a little shop which has everything you could want (one stop). Parking is in the quiet cul-de-sac outside the house.
Main double bed wasn't very comfortable, could do with a new mattress or perhaps a mattress topper?

The response from the property owners was very quick after any emails to them from myself regarding the property. The property was well presented and has everything we needed for the sort duration we were there.
It offered plenty of space and sits in a very quiet. It’s very close to the town centre too.
Overall very happy with our stay, hard to find something that I didn’t like, but if I had to choose, then it would have to be the stains on the sofa bed.

An adequate property as a base for an active break.
Location was fine; a quiet cul-de-sac but with easy access to main roads. A park around the corner and the hills a short drive. A convenience store three minutes walk away. Owner replied to texts quite promptly.
Walls bare white: very functional but not homely. Hot water needs sorting. A few notes as a welcome pack could help. Lighting not so good especially in kitchen.
