If you want to be in the centre of York, stay here. The location is 10/10 and the apartment is spacious, comfortable, and full of historic character. Be aware that the central location comes with some nighttime noise and the "traditional" architecture means low ceilings in spots. The internet can be a little temperamental, but honestly, you'll be too busy exploring the city to care. Overall, a great stay! The Good: • Exceptional Location: Right in the heart of York, perfect for walking everywhere. • Atmosphere: Gorgeous decor and traditional features. • Space: Very comfortable and much roomier than expected.

• Being a historic building, there is limited headroom in places. • The central location means it stays fairly noisy late into the night. • The Wi-Fi connection was a bit inconsistent.

The accommodation was ideally located, which was our primary reason for booking, and boy did it deliver! The place was well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. One thing to consider for future guests, there is a club nearby so you get a free DJ set and in the early hours particularly, you can hear every word from rowdy revellers using the alley as a cut through. This is not a slur on the property as it can’t be helped, due to the location, age and charm of the place, you are not going to get double glazed units! The location creates a double edged sword in that respect, and it really shouldn’t stop you from staying there.

No breakfast included so can’t connect on that. Location was great but very dark entrance and outside light not working.

Lighting outside Noise inside - felt like you were sleeping on the street it was so noisy Bedrooms were lovely but the second was very small and not ideal when friends are sharing as the other felt like a spare room off the main bedroom. Very cold in living room and when heat on the upstairs was too hot. Would benefit from a fire in the fireplace and some artwork.
