The location
The stairs are quite narrow. Not great if you are elderly or have mobility issues. None of these apply to myself.

Beautiful old building full of character. Furniture is smart and comfortable, kitchen is very well equipped. Fantastic location.
Main bathroom is a little tired and shower had very low pressure. This was a minor issue and did not impact our enjoyment of the house.
Be aware that the second staircase to the bedrooms is very steep. This wasn’t an issue for us but might be if you have limited mobility.

Location was grear, right next to York Minster and so very close to all the sights in the city centre so we could walk to.restaurants and the sights. Lovely living room with enought seating for all of us to be comfortable, sitting and chatting which we did a lot ,being old school friends meeting for our annual cactch up.
Some very eccentric steps upstairs but this is an ancient property so to be excpected , and we managed. Should have read the note about the steps. !
