Beautiful home perfectly located in a beautiful city

It’s a beautiful home and the location is perfect, to also have a parking space is incredible for where it is. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back!

The only very minor things I would say is, it’s quite expensive, but for what we got we were happy; however there was absolutely nothing in the property, usually you get a welcome pack of some kind, at least with milk and things to make a brew. For the price, it would have been nice, but not the end of the world, and there was a shop 5 minute walk away.

Enjoyed the stay very much and house was a good base, would recommend if you want to visit the city.

House had plenty of rooms, kitchen was well equipped, everywhere was clean (but you would expect that). Location was excellent, walking distance to the city centre. Some tea, coffee milk was left to use which was appreciated on the first night. Public car park opposite meant only having one parking space was not an issue. Lovely outlook over the river. Also, good comms pre-visit, all instructions were clear and someone on the end of the telephone to answer questions, great.

Not a problem but it was odd that there was some clothing in our wardrobe and some dirty socks left in one of the bedrooms.

Perfect base for exploring all that York has to offer

The location is excellent for accessing York city centre - The Minster is about a 10 minute walk. It was lovely being able to sit out on the patio by the river. Lots of hot water.

The twin beds in the upstairs bedroom are not 3 foot beds and so not suitable for larger adults. It is about a 10 minute walk to the nearest grocery shop but tea, coffee and milk were provided.

Superb location and well set up property! Clean and modern bathrooms and kitchen.

There was no fish slice in kitchen and it could have used a larger frying pan. Other observation was that upstairs living room seemed unused and would be better suited as a bedroom with a stunning river view. This would allow for a proper sized bed (my husband is 6’4’’ and literally didn’t fit in the short double bed we slept in).

Nice but needs new carpets desperately

We were able to drop our bags off early. The arrival gifts from marks and spencers. Good size kitchen and living rooms. Good location. 5 minute walk from train station.

The living room rug was heavily stained. The stairs up to the attic rooms had carpet rod grippers exposed with two nails/spikes sticking out cutting my heal as I walked down them. The carpets could definitely do with renewing as they are in poor conditokn with black stains.

Great location - a short walk to the city centre along the river, and lovely to sit on the terrace and watch the boats go by. Very charming house, full of character and with everything needed for a city break.

I would probably have moved the kitchen table into the downstairs lounge area overlooking the river as it is such a lovely outlook from this spot!

Lovely house at a perfect location .

Perfect for a family group holiday as lots of space, bathrooms, 2 food prep areas, room to eat together inside and out. The location was perfect on the riverside walkway just along from the river cruise station, near the museum park and a pedestrian only walk to the train station,

Downstairs sofa needs some TLC not comfortable. There was a lamp clearly broken in one bedroom that was still plugged in and looked dangerous

Wonderful property in a perfect location made for a very special and memorable stay.

We came to attend my son’s graduation and the situation for both the Minster, train station and The Star Inn couldn’t have been better (all in easy walking distance). The house was wonderful. A fantastic find and we’d definitely love to stay again. The Christmas tree & decorations were a lovely surprise touch!

Possibly an extra jug and basin or two, in the kitchen maybe. But difficult to find fault otherwise.

Beautiful holiday home-perfect for families

Very spacious home, all rooms decorated lovely. It is located right in the centre of York, 7 minutes walk from the train station and 7 minute walk into the town centre. Beautiful riverside view, lovely patio area, high chair is available there, washer/dryer, 2 living rooms, 3 showers and a bath, 4 toilets (one on the ground floor) pots, pans, cutlery, cups, 2 fridges, 2 cookers, so many more facilities... such an amazing property.

The house was lovely the facilities were great we didn’t realise there were three bathrooms and they were all good! The kitchen had everything you would have wanted and it was basically a great place to stay
