This is itself a destination B&B.

This was perhaps the best b&b we have ever enjoyed. We travel around the world and have stayed in many places. The rooms and bed were both large and most comfortable. The adjoining deck overlooked a marvelous vista with beautiful horses checking us out. John Joe himself was an exemplary host. The place was spotless. Details were attended. Afternoon tea and the huge breakfast were absolutely delicious. The place’s relative remoteness was made up for by his personal driving (we were walking St Declan’s Way). His thoughtfulness was evident in assuring material comfort but also social grace. Twas one of our best stays ever.

Amazing 3 day stay

Sympathy of John from receiving at arrival to all the big and small details, super flexible and helpful during my stay. Also a beautiful scenery involving the building with green meadows and horses running at sunset.

Lovely accommodation in peaceful, rural location.

John Joe and Margot are truly excellent hosts, happy to provide lots of helpful local tips. Delicious breakfast each morning was a real treat. Peaceful, rural location with a lovely outlook over the fields, but only a few minutes drive into Dungarvan for an evening meal.

Everything was excellent.

John Joe and Margo go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The breakfast was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay immensely. It’s close to the beautiful town of Dungarvan just 10 min drive. Plenty of very nice restaurants and pubs in town.

The Coolcormack Stud Bed and Breakfast was a highlight of our trip.

The Bed and Breakfast was fabulous. Located on a lovely, peaceful farm it offered beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. Our host, John Joe, communicated frequently as our stay approached to ensure that we had no difficulty finding his home and to answer any questions that we might have. Upon arriving, he greeted us warmly and assisted us with our bags. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It included all of the amenities we could want. John Jo shared stories of the area as well as many dining and entertainment options nearby. He served a delicious traditional Irish breakfast in the morning.

The whole experience was fantastic. The setting with the farm animals was the absolute best. Our room was very clean and was comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding. John Joe went out of his way to make us comfortable and happy. His breakfast were the best! Location was perfect for us. Close enough to everything but far enough away to relax in the evenings.

Perfect Irish hospitality

John Joe was a fantastic host who welcomed us into his lovely home. We had a nice large bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast would be hard to beat, quality ingredients cooked to perfection complimented by fresh fruit and homemade bread. The price was probably at the top end of what we would want to pay for an overnight stop However we would definitely choose to stay there again in similar circumstances. For whatever reason the overall review score is coming out at 9.0 but in my opinion it deserves a 9.5 but I can't return to that section to amend it -sorry John Joe

Very good and in easy reach of Dungarvan

A very peaceful but convenient location. An excellent breakfast. What makes the place is Johnjoe. He was friendly and helpful (and bakes a mean scone)! We took up one of his sightseeing recommendations which was spot on.

What a gem of a B&B

The hosts were wonderful. Ed had a huge room with large walk in wardrobe. Views were fantastic and breakfasts were delicious.

Best scrambled eggs ever! Extremely tasty breakfast made personally by John-Jo. The scones were freshly baked earlier in the morning. Very relaxing atmosphere - peaceful rural setting.

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed at - a huge, clean, beautifully furnitured room and bath, with huge windows towards the countryside, with an exceptional breakfast and a very cosy host. If you are somewhere between Cork and Dublin and like nature and quietness, this is where you should stay!

Clean, comfortable, contemporary and peaceful. Our room was nicely appointed, with a lovely double bed, en suite shower, walk-in closet and Wi-Fi. Our host John Joe and his lovely partner Margo were charming and welcoming, but they ensured we were left in peace to enjoy our rest in their lovely property. John Joe was able to recommend a local restaurant where we could enjoy proper Irish food. Breakfast at Coolcormack Stud is very special, hand prepared by John Joe.

I liked the host and what was provided. John Joe is an excellent communicator prior to arrival and met us with a huge Irish Welcome. The room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was extraordinary. what a great stay if we are fortunate enough to return to Ireland we wouldn’t hesitate to use Coolcormack Stud as a base to see the South East of Ireland

Easy to locate. The owner John Joe was a superb host - he couldn’t do enough for us. The place was absolutely spotless and the bed was the very best we have ever slept in. The linen was top quality. As soon as we arrived he served tea & cake - a lovely unexpected touch.

My favorite place I stayed in Ireland!

The room was large and comfortable, the deck was perfect for looking out at the countryside and sipping wine. Our host, John Joe, was very welcoming and informative about the area. He made a delicious breakfast as well! Truly, one of the nicest people we met on our vacation. I was also very happy to meet Tilly, the little farm dog. It was a very relaxing stay, and so close to the little town of Dungarvin.
