It wasn’t a good experience and

The breakfast was fine. The location was good for our needs.

The sheets on the beds did not look clean. There was hair in the bed. The mattress sagged. The mattress felt damp. The carpet was grubby and had stains on it. There was a smell in the room. There were cobwebs. There was no soap in the bathroom. Their dog barked loudly outside the window all night. The host was extremely unfriendly. It was extremely expensive for what we got.

Never again.

I have never had to leave a negative review and I have done a lot of traveling, but this time I do. Unfortunately there were no signs of hospitality displayed by the “hosts” - no smile, no “how was your trip/what are your plans/is there anything you need”. Nothing. To be honest: their outer appearance was quite scruffy and this is exactly what was reflected in the house, the room, the breakfast: not only did we find food (sweets) leftovers in one of the crooked nightstand drawers, there were spider webs on the dirty windows and the butter that was offered at breakfast looked “used” by other guests (or the hosts themselves) as well. I am very sorry, but this place is a no-go in every way.

Adequate stay, nice people.

The owners Anne and Maurice are nice, and we could watch Netflix, accommodated dietary restrictions.

The sandpaper hard towels, the fact the bathroom door couldn’t fully open because the bed was in the way, no tissue, no face cloths, having only one glass in the room, creaky floors.

Matterof fact attitude, as though they were doing you a favour very unfriendly, in fact bordering on rude, had to pay for the room on the doorstop, after travelling and arriving late, was rather unwelcoming and rude too. Breakfast cheap and poor value for money, and again no welcome. or even good morning, never again!!!

Poor, shower tray blocked up every time it was used it.

Size of the room

Breakfast did not start till 8, so I did not have any cooked breakfast as I had to leave before that for work, what was left was 2 ceral options and old fruit . This I passed on. See picture below of my breakfast options.

Expensive for what you get.

It is good that there are places like this in Ireland who accept dogs.

The shower drain was blocked and so the bathroom floor flooded when showering. There was only a man taking payment at check in and we saw nobody else from the property. Breakfast was from 8.00am so not possible for us as we needed to leave at 7.30am. The location is remote so no options to walk out for dinner.

Great family-run B&B

Beautiful spacious room and en suite in peaceful countryside, short drive away from the nearby town. Comfortable bed to sleep the night, followed by a delicious breakfast. Smooth communication with the property.

Plenty of sockets and bed was comfortable. Room was a good size. Friendly staff. Very quiet.

Bathroom surfaces limited for putting our toiletries out. No shower gel or extras like some places. Owners adult large dog peed on car several times and not on a lead. Scared our little dogs. Dog was friendly to us but was left to sit outside all day. Felt sorry for him. Drawers in room were difficult to open and close. Floor very creaky.

Lovely host, amongst lovely green landscape but lacking in character and comfortable amenities.

It was clean and amongst loads of greenery. Lovely dog and the cooked breakfast was fresh and nice.

The rooms didn’t have hair dryers (we asked for one and the host gave us one). Would be good to have one in the room without having to ask (booking.com states one is available in the room). The pillows were very flat. Extra pillows would be good. There are no shower gels or shampoos in the room. Not a problem , but good to be told in advance. Overall, given the price we paid for the rooms, it would be good to be provided with some extra amenities to make it more comfortable.

Breakfast was very good, price is fair, beds are very comfortable, we have been very happy to find a pet friendly B&B, our host was very nice it was just perfect for a family with a dog. Thank you so much.

The room was clean but not amazing, we paid an extra 10€ for the dog extra cleaning, what is totally fair, so it could have been better. I'm very picky with cleaning so don't think it was dirty, it was OK.

Good B & B with a caring host

Lovely quiet location but only 10 mins away from town for restaurants etc. Nice riverside walk and castle. Anne was a lovely host, along with Toby the dog. Room was spotless. Breakfast was fresh and well cooked. Small woods across the road ideal for walking our dog. Was made very welcome.

Would have liked some fresh fruit at breakfast but otherwise a recommended stay.

perfect for our needs

The hostess Anna was warm and accomodating. We needed a place that slept 12 and this suited our needs. Katie cooked our breakfasts to order, which was great. The full Irish breakfast is an option.
