Everything was perfect for our little family
Only missed coffee if they could leave some ground coffee however the Lidl is very close to the house so it took only few minutes to get my coffee.

The location was spot on. Quiet yet convenient for the town centre, Sainsbury's etc. (within walking distance). The shower was good and strong and water hot. The kitchen was well equipped. There were sufficient cupboards and drawers to unpack clothes into. The tv worked easily and was just about big enough. The house felt warm and well insulated.
The loo seat would not stay up. Only one of the three front door keys actually worked. The single beds and duvets were a little narrow and I dont like 'plastic' duvets and pillows. The sofas in the sitting room were adequate but not great for comfort.

Door code was wrong and the person at the other end f the phone tried 2 other numbers before finding the right one. This seems to have been reported in the guest book previously.

- location - Cockermouth is a lovely wee town close to seaside and great gateway to lake district
- comfy beds and good size bedrooms
- fireplace with reclining sofas made the stay very relaxing at evenings
- dedicated parking space
- shops in short walking distance
Overall
Quite bad cigarettes smell when we first came in, this went away after few hours with windows opened
Kitchen
- kitchen greasy, especially cupboards and all kitchen door handles
- cupboards and drawers were not clean inside for a long time
- couldn't use oven as it was in a very bad state (burnt inside)
- !!!!! the fridge inside was bleached and someone left bleach still running on the back wall of the fridge!!!!! If we didn't notice, we would placed our food inside bleach stained fridge! This is totally unacceptable, it could end up in quite bad food poisoning! We have had to start our stay from cleaning the fridge first
- no cleaning sprays and no dishwasher tablets available
Bathroom
- the bathroom was refurbished and looks lovely however there was a massive overgrown mould on both shower heads!!!
Backyard
- the ashtray full of cigarettes buts left on the wee table outside. Should be cleaned before new customers arrive
