I very much enjoyed my stay!

Very hospitable staff, and quite alot of kitchen/household appliances!.

The apartment room we stayed in was often pretty chilly due to the high ceiling rooms.

Overall a pleasant hotel. But they need to figure out the smell. It was almost unbearable.

Hotel was very centrally located.

The entire hotel smelled of sewage. We couldn't bring ourselves to eat breakfast there because of the smell. So that was money wasted.

Nice Hotel, very friendly staff, good breakfast

Great location, nice rooms, the staff was very friendly and gave great suggestions for restaurants. The breakfast was good and big. The rooms were nice and clean. The Hotel has its unique style, which makes it special. A bit retro and because it was a gentlemen clothing store before, it kept some of the flair. Very nice.

Great location and clean and quiet hotel.

Excellent location in a quiet part of Utrecht and close to the train station and restaurants. Overall a bit expensive for what it was but we enjoyed our stay there.

We had a suite and the room layout was odd to say the least. Evidently the hotel was converted from offices and the rooms in our suite were not well utilized. The bedroom was so small I could not get out on my side but had to slide off the end of the bed. There was maybe 6" clearance between the bed and the walls on both sides. The bathroom was okay, and the living room/eat-in kitchen area was huge and not a well utilized. I guess that was due to the conversion into hotel rooms.

Disappointed

Location

Even though my room was on an upper floor, I could still hear noise from outside, which made it difficult to sleep well at night and in the morning. When I mentioned this to the staff, they said it couldn’t be helped because the hotel is located in the city, and that it was something beyond their control. However, I think the real issue is that the room is not soundproofed properly. The room itself was also too simple and felt rather bare. In addition, there was maintenance work being done in the next room, and the hallway was dirty and cluttered with paint and equipment. Builders were working early in the morning, which was noisy. There was also no prior notice or explanation about the maintenance work, which was quite inconvenient. To be honest, I don’t think the stay was worth the price.

Great location, really cute shopping town and good food!

Everything was great! City shuts down much earlier than Amsterdam. I love Utrecht. It's a tiny Amsterdam without all the crowds. Easy trip into Amsterdam if you don't want to stay there. The nights were quiet with a few random loud people. I always travel with earplugs, so slept well. Utrecht is the coolest city I've been to in the Netherlands. Lots and lots and lots of nice shops, restaurants and coffee cafes.

Loved everything about Utrecht and Hunfeld. I highly recommend spending a few nights there. Take the canal cruise, It's only an hour and worth it.

an ok stay

It is very close to the mall which also has the train station and also to the city center. has many coffees and restaurants around.

there was quite some dust on the room even on places that have usage and it was noticeable. As my girlfriend has some alergies to dust we tried to not move a lot of dust onto the air.

OK but very poor value for money

location is great. staff very friendly and helpful

breakfast was poor...no staff there to welcome and explain the process, no decaff tea despite having been promised, when they did come the staff did not explain options so took a while and a few trips to get the breakfast out. What was delivered was OK, but no choice available light switches around bed difficult to operate ie find out how to turn on and off.

Great location, friendly staff and comfortable at the Hunfeld.

Enjoyed the shared lounge area with coffee (Nespresso type) and tea. Great location overlooking the square. Room had everything we needed.

The quilt on the bed was too hot. We would prefer a sheet with blanket to better cope with warm nights. A small fridge in the room would be a welcome addition.

Great location and a bit of a vintage experience

The position is very central and also close to the train station and shops. The staff did their best to make me feel welcome. The interior has been refurbished with attention to detail and a overall vintage feeling.

The day of my stay there was a party in the square with loud music until 10.45pm (not the hotel’s fault but if this is a concern to you, check the calendar of events).

Cozy hotel in a convient location

THe hotel is a short walk from the central train station. We arrived early and left our bags at the front desk. When we returned later our bags were already brought to the room. It was nice to look directly into the canopy of a sycamore from the bed.

The room was 'cozy', but on the small size. The toilet was on one side of the bed and the shower sink on the other.

Stylish, beautiful and perfectly located.

The hotel was right in the heart of the city, easily accessible. The facilities were top notch and the staff super nice. The room was spacious, very well equipped and stylish. In terms of visiting the city there could not have been a better location. Definitely recommend and would come back.

Breakfast was very good - but too much! We could have easily shared one platter between us. It would be good to have a choice of a small breakfast. The staff were lovely, always very helpful and willing.

There was no housekeeping in our room after the first night. There was no butter on our breakfast tray one morning and I had to go down to reception to find someone. Some of the room facilities were too high - I couldn't reach the safe without standing on a chair, I felt unsafe doing so, and had difficulty getting up and back down. I also had to stand on a chair to see the AC controls properly and to read the instructions initially. I also had to stand on the bed to pull the blind down in the velux window above the bed.

Location is excellent and a definite strength. The welcome from the team was great. The room was a good size.

Lovely room in a very characterful hotel

The location was perfect - in the heart of town (very near the Dom) but only a short walk from the central station. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly offered me an upgraded room at no extra charge

The breakfast, which I ordered on the second day of my stay was fine, but I found something similar the previous day at a local cafe which was a little better and a little cheaper.

Perfect stay

Gorgeous stay for my partner's 50th birthday. Apartment was stunning. Staff were lovely and really helpful. They even left a birthday postcard note and bottle of prosecco on her birthday when we were out. Will definitely be back to stay soon.

A wonderful stay would come back for sure

The location was perfect as was the staff . They were very friendly and extremely helpful with directions , suggestions and even provided ice for a sore knee . Our room was darling with a patio looking onto the street . I highly recommend.

Not bad per se, but wouldn't come back

Good location.

Borderline obnoxious noise level in the lounge. 2 of the staff were working at the same table in the lounge and you could hear them 3 floors up. Within the lounge you couldn't hear your own thoughts. At one point the staff was sitting at exact opposite corners of the room and shouting across talking to each other... for hours.
