The location is perfect and there’s clearly been a lot of thought into the renovations. Heated floors, motion sensing lighting transform what could seem like a cellar into something quite comfortable. The room is surprisingly quiet even when crowds fill the street above you.

Because the shower and bath is fairly exposed, especially the tub, this is better suited to couples, but that should be obvious. FYI, not related to the property there’s a bike shop very near to the south that will store your luggage until check-in time, but there’s not any indication that you’ve found the right place. Just ask when you think you’re at the right place.

The location was superb and the actual apartment was super nice, perfect for our family. It is highly recommended

The location is great to access the city center. All facilities are clean. The interior design is very nice.

It was hard to find the stairs that access the property. There is no sound proof from the outside, especially there could be bells ringing pass midnight.

Not just accommodation but an experience. This canal side cellar was a fantastic combination of 5* luxury with a massively evocative experience of century old space. The design is very modern and very comfortable. A huge bath, LED candles, motion sensor lights, an extra large memory foam mattress. A very well equipped kitchen with coffee machine, dishwasher including salt and a little oil for cooking. The luxury bathroom, with walk in shower, huge bath and double basin was a delight. Every inch of the space was beautifully designed, clean and modern. Each time I went to hang a towel or reach for a cup it was right where you would expect it. Despite the fact we were right in the centre of town the space felt safe and private. The cave was quiet at night. It is a short walk to the Boon supermarket which was great for grabbing meals. But of course the whole area is full of cafes and places to eat. The stairs down to the canal level are a bit steep. If you have mobility issues then stay in a modern hotel. If you are looking for something really fun that the children will remember for years to come then this is very special and worth every penny. I would return in a heartbeat.

My only very picky negative comments are If you are 6’4” or taller you might struggle with the ceiling heights. When the sofa bed is out the step down into the kitchen is a little tricky. I would have liked a second sharp knife. Really it was a delight!

The renovation of what was an underground storage cave off the canal is amazing.

It’s a steep climb down the stairs to the canal and the property. Also directions to the unit were insufficient.
