Lovely hotel, perfect location!

Villa Lara was a beautiful hotel. It was a perfect location to catch our tour to Normandy with Operation Overlord. Everyone was so helpful. Breakfast was amazing! We loved our stay in Bayeux and Villa Lara!

Perfect location in the center of Bayeux with even better hospitality from the entire staff!

Everything. Perfect location near the church, where you can walk a few minutes to anything in Bayeux. The room and appointments were high end and chic. The difference was the hospitality from the entire staff who take care of all their guests with recommendations, reservations, their amazing attitude and smiles. They made us feel special. (Thank you Julian for the great drinks!)

We did have a nice table in our room but it had a sign saying no picnic.

The property did not seem like a 4 star property. There was so much trash from our bathroom window. The view from the bedroom was better but the deck was not very appealing so we did not use it.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful town!

Excellent hotel & the owner Philippe was delightful! He gave an amazing tour of Bayeux in the adorable Miss Tingette. Phillipe has thought of everything needed in an excellent hotel. Julian & Muriel as well as the other staff were very attentive & always ready to assist. We loved this hotel and Bayeux and will definitely return.

Some hotel with excellent service

Small boutique hotel with a service truly above and beyond. Just one example: when I was driving up to the car park in front of the hotel, two staff members were already standing outside and waiting to grate me. Only downside I can think of is the breakfast can use some variety, however the bar has a lot of drinks to choose from , Including some excellent calavados.

Fabulous hotel - Amazing staff!

Everything about Villa Lara was fantastic! The location was convenient, the hotel itself had spacious, comfortable rooms, with great amenities. The best part about the Villa Lara Hotel was the staff. Muriel, Julian, and Kimberly were all wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Lara Hotel. The facility is great! The room is very comfortable with great amenities. The bed and linens were great and the room was silent for a good night’s sleep. It’s a short walk to the town center with good options for dining, shopping and sightseeing. All that a wonderful staff made our stay a success!

Location was superb Room design & size were excellent - furniture & beds very comfortable & clean Bathrooms wel stocked with towels & robes Staff were extremely helpful

We thought breakfast a little pricey so we ate elsewhere Toiletries in bathroom very unappealing Needed Privacy curtains on bedroom windows - some sort of sheer blind or nets needed

Beautiful hotel highly recommended

The hotel was under new ownership and has a lovely quirky feel about it, The staff were really friendly as was the owner who made sure he met us. The Hotel is just on the edge of the old town and a few minutes walk from anywhere. The rooms were exceptional, Clean, good sized and lovely views, We will go back to Bayeux and we will definitely rebook this hotel

Top tier staff, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Rooms were very nice, we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a balcony suite. The breakfast was amazing as well and they will answer any questions you have about exploring the town/normandy area.
