Below expectation for a four star hotel

It was an easy enough walk to the main stretch of cafes and shops in Bayeux . Decent breakfast . Staff were very nice and helpful

Struggle to understand why it has four stars. Our room was nice enough but not especially cosy. The bathroom smelt and the shower curtain is very dated .

Staf and location and very pleasant accommodation…great stay

The outdoor pool and hot tub/ jacuzzi provided a relaxing rest day. The jets mended my turned ankle! The staff on reception were amazingly helpful and patient at all times especially in reorganising our transport when a strike stopped all trains and buses. Breakfast was lovely. A very large ,excellent market with variety of stalls was at one end of our road, also a bus stop , and the town was at the other end. Extremely convenient. Everything in walking distance.

Convenient, central location in Bayeux, short walk to great restaurants and shopping. 5-10 mins from train station. Very nice room and friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast option a good one.

We were a small room on night one. Then complained that it was not what we had booked weeks before. They then changed our room commensurate with our booking. Problem with an organisation that they promoted and organised. Complaints were treated without consideration

Great location, helpful staff, comfortable hotel

The room was quite large, clean and with comfortable beds but the hotel did NOT have air conditioning which Booking.com had listed online and was important in selecting the hotel. Air con is not listed online so I think this is a Bookings own error. We did get multiple room fans which helped. The staff was very kind and helpful with taxis and talking to restaurants. Hotel is quiet and had a good central location, walkable to the train station, cathedral and tapestry museum.

Unwelcoming and disappointing.

The location is in a quiet area but is also very close to the town centre. The room facilities were good and mainly clean. The bed was comfortable. Having a fridge in the room was very useful.

The receptionist was most unfriendly when we arrived. He seemed more interested in taking our payment than anything else. He told me a figure to pay without explaining how he had come to this figure and then asked me to sign something without explaining what it was for. He took us to our room but did not bother to show us how to operate the jacuzzi and did not show us that there was an electric shade. his behaviour made us both feel most unwelcome and we therefore decided not to have breakfast there or use the bar. The outdoor furniture was not clean; it had bird excrement on it. The maintenance in the room was poor.

Hotel in a lively area

Amazing location in the heart of Bayeux. Shops and restaurants just steps away. Very friendly staff. As expected, we had no issues as English speakers. We didn’t have a chance to use the amenities (pool, bar, breakfast, etc.), but all looked great. The hotel had a parking lot and options for a three-person room, both of which are hard to find. The room and bathroom were spacious.

The hotel doesn’t have AC at present, so it’s a consideration if you’re used to AC in the hotter months. The bathroom had an open shower setup, so we spent a fair amount of time drying the floor so we wouldn’t slip while at the sink. We didn’t like that aspect, but I can see how an open shower may have been the best option for the space. That said, we would stay here again.

Hotel is in a great location in the centre of Bayeux and a 5 min walk from restaurants, bars and shops. Bedroom was nicely decorated and very spacious & clean with a lovely modern bathroom. Great pool and bar area.

Fabulous hotel, perfect location, extremely friendly and helpful staff

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect for exploring Bayeux, just a short walk from the Cathedral, main shopping and market areas and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the hotel itself is a beautiful building and the room and facilities were great. Thank you for making our first trip to Bayeux a great experience and we hope to visit again soon and will certainly look to stay with you again

Based on our others stays in France, I felt the hotel was very expensive for what it was.

The property was very well located, a short distance away from the main road with all the restaurants and shops. The hotel kindly upgraded us to a disabled room with a walk-in shower so we didn't have to climb into a bath style shower. It was very generous in size for a hotel room in Europe.

The hotel looked more characterful in the photos than it was in reality. The room was quite generic and a bit dark. It was completely clean but a smelt a bit stale. Nothing particularly wrong, but I expected it to be much more special and luxe based on the photos and price.

Clean, nice hotel if you want a pool for your kids.

We had a large room in a good location in town. It appeared clean and was relatively comfortable. The small pool and very small hot tub were nice and warm and worked well if you use these amenities.

I requested a room over the pool and was informed it was in the old section of the hotel, and we would need to walk stairs to access it. I replied that was no problem for us but we were placed in a room facing the street. There were no fans or a/c that I could find and the street, while relatively quiet at night, was still noisy with windows open. Our room was very large, but the toilet was separated around the room far from the main bed and through a heavy door to a hallway on its own by the room entrance. We were too tired to request to be moved. disappointed that my original request was not addressed upon check in. We also booked this hotel as it stated it had parking. After booking the hotel responded that they do not reserve parking and if it was available when we arrived, we could use it then. It was not available when we arrived, and we had to park a very long block away.

A very enjoyable stay

The hotel is really nice and authentic. Great location, close proximity to all the shops/restaurants. Coffee machine and water provided in the room. The spa area was very quiet at the times that we were there and the pool/bar are open till past 22:00. The pool is heated and the hot tub has different settings so it's a great experience. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

We didn't expect that you had to pay for parking so that was surprising. Anyway it appeared that on street parking was free Sunday to Monday 9AM and we used that, we then moved the car to a carpark next door which was 3 euros for 5+ hrs as it worked out cheaper for us for the time that we were in Bayeux.
