A charming, comfortable stay in a perfect central location in Bayeux.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Hotel Reine Mathilde. The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Bayeux, within easy walking distance of the historic center, shops, restaurants, and the Bayeux Tapestry, which made exploring the town extremely convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Compared to many hotels in historic European towns, the room felt spacious and thoughtfully arranged. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is charming and quiet, making it easy to relax after a full day of sightseeing.

This is a perfect location - right in the middle of Bayeux. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room in the Annexe quiet, large and well-appointed.

Totally overrated over charged

Total false representation of the Hotel they showed us was not the Hotel we booked. They walked us to the Hotel accross the street then charged us 81 Euros more complete rip off

Comfort plus in beautiful Bayeux

A lovely hotel situated in the heart of Bayeux within walking distance of everything we needed. We had a small apartment with basic kitchen facilities. There was plenty of room to spread out and unpack our case. The bed was large and very comfortable. There was an air conditioner for heating and cooling as well as warming panels. It was very quiet and picturesque, being a renovated old building. The hotel had a very nice restaurant and it was only a short walk to many other restaurants, the main shopping street, a small supermarket and the tourist information office. The staff were very helpful.

Nothing to dislike but it would have been nice to have a microwave oven in the kitchenette.

The staff were friendly and helpful; we did like the menu and location.

We had a delicious skate dinner the night we checked in; lunch also had good choices. The location of the hotel allowed us to walk to our guided tour pickup area. In warmer weather, there was a nice outdoor space to eat.

The bathroom is very small and difficult to use. The tables are very close together in dining areas although it was not completely full on our night.

The room was a typical European room, although the shower is a little tiny, but so what. The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, and the location is outstanding for touring the city and touring Normandy. I would highly recommend this hotel. Note that the hotel does not have parking, but there are two large parking lots about 8 minutes away by walking, and we just simply parked and walked back to the hotel, which is actually a lovely walk past beautiful buildings and right past the beautiful Bayeux Cathedral.

The breakfast is a little expensive for what you get but really it's not a super complaint It's fine

Great central location.

I am not a large person but found the shower quite small. The mirror in the bathroom was unusable for me as the design-painted black lines-make only the center usable. If you’re short this doesn’t work. I arrived early and there is no place to sit down-without buying a meal-no lobby really. No elevator.

Nice and convenient hotel , excellent staffs made a good memory.

Location is very good , center of town , near train station. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful ( help to bring my luggage to my room) . We ate a delicious dinner in the hotel’s restaurant; the people there were polite and pleasant to talk to .
