Location in Bayeux was perfect. Host provided gluten free bread for my breakfast which was appreciated.
Parking is a problem. Not a problem for us but many stairs at this property
5.0 / 10.0
It was ok for what we needed, and we weren't expecting anything fancy, but it was gloomier than what we expected from the photos. Location was good, close to the main street with shops and restaurants. Very close to a parking lot which was convenient.
The hotel has a gloomy feeling compared to the bright photos. It was not that much affordable than other options around. Wifi didn't work very well.
We placed the "please make up my room" sign at the door, but came back to a room that looked just as we left it.
No Elevator, which is normal in old houses, but the staff didn't offer any help with the luggage, which was the case in other similar hotels we stayed. We travelled in a family group so my mother and aunts needed help with their luggage and it would have been helpful to have an extra hand.

Location, near by free parking
Very narrow stair case, steps down into room and further steps up to en-suite, with unsafe glass screen as opposed to door

The location is central and walking distance to everything. It is a 2 minute walk to free parking. The staff was helpful. The room was medium size with enough space for two people.
The bed was uncomfortable. Not a lot of electric plugs. The room was dated and gloomy.

We loved this hotel! We had a warm welcome at check in and found the hotel really charming with tons of personality. Our room was a little compact but absolutely fine, and both it and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. It’s in a great location in the heart of town, and we would gladly stay here again.

We booked this hotel for its location close to the centre of Bayeux, which was great. There was plenty of overnight parking available in the square. The staff were very friendly and pointed out to us the son et lumiere event happening at the cathedral that night.
The room itself was pretty small, squeezed into an old building without much character. The sound proofing between rooms was poor.

We really liked the central location; very convenient for local cafes, and just a pleasant short stroll into the historic town with its, places of interest, museums and shopping. The hotel interior we found shabby chic, and functional. We particularly enjoyed views from the upper floor rooms at the front overlooking the square
Our requests and enquiries were dealt with in a kind and helpful manner by Michel despite nous parlons peu Francais!
There were no aspects of our stay that we considered to be below par ; it is worth pointing out that whilst there is no lift at the hotel, front desk staff were very helpful in arranging for luggage to be take to our room

Continental breakfast was very good and we appreciated that they started a bit earlier than usual so that we could make our DDay tour. Gave us good suggestions for dinner.
Third floor room a bit challenging to reach via stairs with bags, but it was a historical building.

The location was good, host appeared amenable and happy to assist with the provision of a cot to save us bringing one from the car.
Our biggest issue with this hotel stems from wall paper opposite door and behind shower which was clearly water damage and pealing from the wall when we arrived. In our hast to get food and put our two young children to bed after a long day travelling we thought little of this. Our biggest issue in the room at this point was the heat, with only a small fan to cool it. However, after leaving we have been accused of causing this damage that must have taken days or weeks to occur rather than the few hours we were in the room. This is in addition to an accusation of stealing towels.
Our triple room was on the top floor with no lift or assistance to take luggage or two young children up the multiple flights of stairs. The only lock to the door was at waist height, so our toddler could open the door, which led directly to the steep stairs.
The hotel was selected due to its location and the availability of parking. There is non at the property but space outside that are limited to 3hrs during the day - this would be an issue with young children on any longer stays.

The location was great - right in town with free parking 2 mins away. Small room but would easily recommend for a one or two night stay.
Nothing of note

Good location, it had air conditioning - it was unseasonably hot and air was needed. Rooms were small, but comfortable. It had a nice little courtyard with tables. Front desk was friendly.
Breakfast was very expensive $24. Check in wasn’t until 17:00.

Room totally mis-represented on booking.com. Looked nice on website, but room was hideous and small. If you like everything orange, you might like, although the room was claustrophobic. In terms of the shower/bathroom, i am lucky to be very slim, otherwise would have got stuck. Hideous old cream and orange tiles everywhere - like a bad dream. Have never seem moth eaten curtains, actully were dotted with holes. Carpet covered im marks and stains. Actually gave me the creeps.
View out ot single window was walls and plastic roof of conservatory. One of those places you recognise when you arrive - NO (other pics are of cathedral!)

Michel and Michaeli were very good and welcoming hosts. Breakfasts were good and the location was ideal. Overall it was excellent value for money.
The shower was very small, but not much could be done about that. The room was clean but could do with redecorating.

The location was excellent. Loved staying in the heart of the village in an historic building. The village center is wonderfully quiet at night for a walk. Restaurants, boulangerie and brasserie all within a block of the hotel. Wonderful weekend market on the square. Free parking a block away. Breakfast was great. Beds were very comfortable and rooms were nicely done. And best of all the hosts were especially friendly, caring and accommodating!

The owners/staff were exceptional. Helpful, keen to please, knowledgeable about the town and local attractions. Recommended local restaurants, knew their menus.
The WiFi signal could be boosted to reach the top floor.

Breakfast was simple but very good. The owners were excellent and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The room was of a good size and very tastefully decorated.
There was nothing to be dissatisfied about.

The room was fully refurbished, very stylish and the bed was very comfortable. The location is very central and even though our room faced the main road it wasn't noisy. The staff was very helpful, and happy to welcome our dog. The breakfast was the typical french breakfast with some excellent croissants and good coffee.
The bathroom was new, but it still had some unfinished details. Everything worked, but it was slightly unsettling to see protruding pipes, and the shower head was broken.

the room was small but clean.
Not getting breakfast included as was my original request on Bookings.com. and having to pay. Being stuck outside the hotel for 1 hour due to a problem with the main door until a guest was leaving.
No TV with international news channels . but they are listed in hotel info.

central location easy for parking, absolutely spotless and smelt clean too.
some early morning noise in the street but only to be expected in the town center.

The hostess of the hotel was very friendly. We had an issue with our car and arrived very late, much later than a declared check in time. We really appreciate her afford and desire to help us.
Only one thing to be aware of for people with limited mobility. There are steps in the room, including step to the washroom. Might be not suitable for everyone.

Nice hotel in quieter part of town but still 5 min. walk to center. A little noisy at night from ppl at restaurants below, but loved the wonderful market right across the street. Very kind and helpful hotel staff. Room was updated attractively and very comfortable. Security code needed at night to enter hotel, and across the street from police station. Felt very safe.
