Staff was friendly, place was relatively cheap. Not too far from train station or town
Toilets were filthy, had some mold or something terrible at the back of them. Most uncomfortable beds and pillows I've ever used too. AC was also broken and only blew hot air, so it was warm in the room. Room also had no thick blinds to go over the thin see through blinds. Property is designed odd as well, in that you have to walk all the way around it to get to the road

We know this hotel from previous stays and we like the location and the parking facilities.
What we didn't know until we arrived at the hotel (on a Friday at about 3-30pm ),was that there was no full restaurant menu over the weekend apart from the usual buffet starter and a couple of ordinary pizzas. We understood that this was usual practice at the time of year , but not so when the hotel had more guests.( when we usually visited).
More importantly we were not aware that boiler works at the hotel the day we arrived would not enable us to have hot water in our room until later in the evening, in our case at about 11pm when the water was no more than tepid. We were told that these periodic necessary boiler works were carried out when the hotel was in low occupancy but perhaps the hotel would do better to close for the day to enable the works to be carried out rather than cause problems and discomfort for guests ,( albeit a few ), with obvious risk of loss of goodwill ,as in our case. It does of course mean the hotel planning ahead but periodic boiler visits can surely be readily catered for in the hotel's diary.

First of all it’s clean and very comfortable. But the location clinched it. An 800m walk takes you to the city centre and some super eateries and historic buildings.
Campanile restaurants are always good. Great basic ingredients well cooked. But a wee but more choice would have helped.

Great location. Great WiFi. Close to the city centre and museums. Good breakfast.
The door card didn't work on our door and when we asked for assistance, a staff member told us 3 times it was our fault and to try again. Each time we had to run through a downpour to try and open the door. It turned out the lock was broken and a maintenance staff had to fix it. No apology or acknowledgement of the hotel's error.
We ordered dinner and when my friend tasted some of my starter, the same staff member told us that tasting wasn't allowed. She was again rude and abrupt and said she would have to charge more if it happened again. She watched us throughout our meal, which made us very uncomfortable. This ruined our dinner and was ridiculous and unbelievable. We have never encountered this in any hotel before.
The counter in our bedroom was covered with dead insects in the morning.

Well located, comfortable clean rooms, great breakfast
The main desk needs a device to translate to different lenguajes, most of the staff only speak French and their business is people who don’t speak French

This hotel is in a great quiet spot with secure parking and yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre. The staff on reception are lovely and helpful. Breakfast was the best we had in Normandy and we toured quite a few locations on our trip. Great fresh fruit, yoghurt and seeds/nuts etc, selection of fresh breads and pastries and crepes. Also eggs and meats and cheeses. Good tea, coffee and juices. The room had good storage and the shower was powerful.
The hotel room was downstairs with shutters on the windows that made the room a bit dark and the light on the wall was quite dim. The bed was comfortable but the bedding could have been softer. The air conditioning did not work - fan was on all night but the room was very warm and there was no way to improve the temperature in the room.

Not very much
Tiny room - supposed to be disability friendly - it wasn’t. Staff surly and unhelpful

The location suited my purpose well, convenient for the town and the military cemetery.
Everywhere that I wanted to go was within fifteen minutes walk.
The bed was comfortable. The restaurant prices were reasonable.
It's really more like a motel with the rooms in a separate building to the restaurant and there was no lounge area.
The room was very compact and there were paper cups provided to make hot drinks (very small and note very strong,
I bought myself a mug.

I've stayed here before and made a beeline back again. The accommodation is Basic and functional and exactly what we needed for our battlefield tour. The proximity to the center of Bayeux is excellent as are the views of the Cathedral. The breakfast was extremely good with a broad selection of good quality items. The restaurant served our group of 20 a marvelous dinner on the first night and again a perfect menu choice the following evening.
If I were to pick the one thing that stands out above all others, it would be the staff. All of them were brilliant 10/10 ...but stand out were Pauline, Audrey and Saim ... 11/10.

The buffet-style breakfast (included) was continental but offered huge choice, and the evening menu was excellent and changed every night. A good selection of local and foreign beers and lots of wine choices. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location - although on the ring road we had fields of horses and cattle around us and frogs calling at night, and only a 15 minute walk to the cathedral and tapestry museum in the centre or 10 minutes along the route peripherique to the war museum, memorial and cemetery.
The rooms are quiet and reasonably comfy but on the small side, and mine certainly wasn't disabled-friendly. They only offered paper cups, some of which leaked, and the choice of in-room tea and coffee was limited and poor quality. The TV only offered about 5 channels and these did not include news or weather.

Campanile Bayeux Hotel is a very good hotel. Perfect lacation just outside town, easy 10min walk. Very welcoming staff, parking just outside, nice & tidy room, good bathroom, wifi & tv worked
just fine. The restaurant served a delicious buffet for lunch & also a very good & affordable dinner. Breakfast was plenty of options…
We stayed 2 nights and will definitely come back.

Decent enough lication
We'd booked bike storage- didn't realise it was in the upstairs bedroom with us. Made the rooms tiny
We also ordered drinks at the bar and they wanted us to sit outside as there was an event on. To be fair , the staff quickly changed their minds.

I booked on the basis of a very good experience several months ago at the Campanile Montparnasse in Paris. The rooms are always clean, small, but adequate for a short stay and good value. The staff in Bayeux were friendly and helpful. Breakfast provided a reasonably good choice of options, though not as broad a choice as when I stayed in Paris. The location is good and within easy walking distance of the town and other amenities. All in all I'd use Campanile again and I would stay there for future visits to Bayeux should they occur. The gardens and flower beds were also lovely. The surroundings are important.
I suppose I missed somewhere to sit and relax for a bit, perhaps even get a drink. After returning from town it would have been nice to have a small nightcap before going to bed. I appreciate there was a small covered space outside behind the breakfast room, but a small space indoors would have been nice. Otherwise, everything was good. It's a small point and I appreciate the space available is limited.

From reception right through to the evening meals the staff and service was very good and the rooms comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and set you up for the day. The location is excellent for exploring the town and cathedral on foot. Also for the sites of the D Day landing beaches etc. by car or bike/motor cycle.
I have no adverse comments about this accommodation.

The facilities were clean and quiet, the location was perfect for visiting the museums we had planned.
The curtains were so sheer that they didn't block any sunlight from coming in, so the sun woke us up earlier than we wanted to be awake.
