Comfortable hotel with a good restaurant

We chose the hotel because it was directly on our route. There was good parking directly outside. We had a large room with comfortable beds. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very good. We had our dog with us and there are good walks nearby.

Quite good for the price

Very clean; kind staff (only one of them spoke English). One strange thing though (not good nor bad, just curious): in a double bed, instead of having one big blanket, there were two “single ones”

Breakfast (which, by the way, is from 07:00 till 10:00) had no pastries at all (no croissants, no choco bread….) and only grapes as fruit. But different types of bread, different types of cheese, cold cuts, cereals..

Right from the moment we checked in we were looked after, staff very attentive, the restaurant and breakfast facilities provided were excellent, very enjoyable stay.

Nothing really, we were only staying one night and no problems for us.

Handy for the River Saar and Baumwipfel Pfad

Parking on-site, evening meal and breakfast was fine. Room was a larger one suitable for 3 which we took as others not available. A short drive to the River Saar and the "Baum Wipfel Pfad" with good views over the river.

Our room was near the stairs and some noisy guests disturbed our sleep at midnight then again at 3am! I recommend asking for a quiet room.

The peaceful and tranquil environment where the hotel is located helps create a memorable stay. We stayed in the Apartment (rm) 10 and it’s great for a family.

There was no kettle in the apartment to make hot drinks if needed. Not much of an issue but would be good for people staying in the apartment

Convenient and fine for a night.

Restaurant was still open when we arrived later than anticipated and we were served a good meal. Our room was large and the bathroom clean and well-appopinted.

Our room smelt musty, as if a previous occupant had smoked there, or perhaps it it had just been shut up for some time?

Food in the restaurant was very good. Sina on our first night was lovely, very friendly and helpful.

The man who was there was very unfriendly. We have been many times but he didn't acknowledge us. We will not return.

A great place to stay on our journey from Rome to UK, easy to find and a warm welcome.

A very comfortable and spacious bedroom with an excellent shower. The breakfast was very generous, with a large variety of choices, something to suit all tastes. We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and great value.

Good location for a one-night stay.

The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was obviously new and was lovely. Dinner in the restaurant was good and well presented but the addition of some chicken on the menu would have been welcome. Breakfast was buffet style with an excellent selection of food and drinks. There was no coffee or tea service in the room but when I asked for hot water a kettle was immediately provided. The hotel is located on a main, but fairly quiet, road but there is off street parking beside the property. A fifteen minute drive took me to the Baumwipfelpfad (treetop walk) and this was well worth the detour!

I arrived earlier than expected and had to telephone to get someone to come and open the door for me to check in - the lady arrived a few minutes later in her car. I settled in to my room and then went to look for someone for help with the wifi but couldn't find anyone. I waited until dinner time and then got the information I needed. The very friendly lady who helped me spoke very limited English so communication was difficult. The menu in the restaurant is only in German so for someone with practically no knowledge of the language (me) this was not easy.

We stayed only for one night. Room was simple, but clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. They have private parking with a lot of space.

We slept well, but it depends on your neighbours, because you can hear noise from other rooms and hall.

Clean hotel in quiet country location

A clean, unpretentious hotel in a quiet country location, ideal for an overnight stop on a journey across Europe. We had reserved a triple room, but were given a spacious suite with 3 separate rooms. The restaurant, which serves typical German dishes, was very good. We found the beds comfortable. Our dog was made welcome. Breakfast started at 6 which was ideal for us as we wanted an early start to our journey the next day.

It's a minor point, but there was no cold water in our bathroom basin.
