perfect home base for Bruges, Ghent, and Brussels

Patrick is one of the nicest people I've met on my travels. The house only will have three guests, so you feel spoiled. My room was spacious and had a great terrace to sit and enjoy a beer. The air conditioning worked great. There is no kettle in the room, but the kitchen is available with what you might need. I would stay again!

Just be aware that there is no lift and quite a few stairs.

Spacious Canal-Side Stay with Warm Hospitality

We had a fantastic stay at Dendernachten B&B. With only three guest rooms, it feels peaceful and personal. Our spacious room overlooked the canal and featured a huge bath—perfect for relaxing after a day on the bikes. Patrick, the host, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We especially appreciated being able to securely park our bicycles in the private courtyard behind the building. The location is very central, just a short walk to the main square, where we were lucky to catch a wonderful community concert. A charming and well-located place to stay in Dendermonde!

The host was exceptional! He went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay, not only at the hotel but in Dendermonde overall. Breakfast was great and even catered for allergies with no extra stress. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for looking after us so well

Stay in quite traditional house with an excellent host Patrick. The room was big, comfy, with the largest (not wellness) bathtub in the bathroom I've ever seen. :D We talked with Patrick about this house, city, history, which was super interesting. Also, if you want to travel around Belgium, I highly recommend Dendermonde, because it's in the middle and train connections to big cities are excellent (and almost all are direct).

Parking is a bit far (house is in the centre). There is one bit closer, but currently the street was under reconstruction, so it was confusing how to get in). But it's like 5 minutes by foot.

First time we have ever rated a stay 10/10 and full stars for everything! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 👋Firstly, you are greeted by the owner who is wonderful, warming, honest and a true gentleman carrying our bags upstairs. He is available if you ever need him and very attentive. You can tell this is his life. 🏫The house is a warm small house so you don't feel so overwhelmed and more 'at home' with bathrooms, outside area, kitchen, lounge and of course your room. Everything is set like an old fashioned royal house but with some modern twists to keep it convenient. 🌇🥰The room is perfect, big, clean, comfy bed (I always struggle with this but he actually has decent mattresses), amazing big bathroom with walk in shower and bath, the best view we have ever had with the look over dendermonde River. Even has a little in built radio in the bathroom. Things like soap, shower stuff, hairdryer, extra pillows, bags, plenty of extra towels etc are all provided. Even the windows are clean and no hidden dust on top of the door frames etc (yes I went looking.. need to earn the 10 rating) 🤑Was it value for money, yes. Belgium is very expensive and yes you can get a hotel for this price but you need to look at the location and the stars to see why you shouldn't. His breakfast is additional but there is plenty going on to grab food. With a local supermarket a 5 min walk so I think the approach of it being an 'add on' rather than an inclusion is best. There is a park outside for kids too so you can just drop them off, have your holiday and pick them back up after! 😉 😅Lastly, this is the most positive review we have made, it is honest and deserved. We are more the kind to actually be synical and find flaws but we could not find anything. ❤Thank you for a great trip, much needed after two years of waiting.

If we are to be EXTREMELY picky. If you have a wheelchair ..there is NO ramp that we know of, the stairs are quite tight and small so be careful if you have disabilities. I would contact him for pictures to make sure it's accessible for your needs. Front door is all rusty so maybe swop that out but I understand it adds character and was probably like that as you do get a giant key. Offer coat hangers in the wardrobe. Potentially a kettle in the rooms so late night/early morning drinks are more accessible.

There were another guest from the UK that was quite rude as she was hungry whilst my gf and I was rushing with the cooking - I had to tell her to stop letting her frustrations out on me. I was hoping the other guest would be more respectful.

Dendermonde feiert. Vorsicht Stufen!

Wir haben ein ruhiges Zimmer mit Balkon zum Hof bekommen. Es fand am Abend ein Food & Drink Fest statt und die ganze Stadt war auf den Beinen. Einen schöne Stimmung, direkt vor der Tür. Uns hat es nicht gestört, im Gegenteil. Wir habe den Abend dort sehr genossen. Fahrräder sicher verstaut. Dank an den zuvorkommenden Gastgeber!

Die Stufen zum Badezimmer. Das Bier aus lokaler Produktion auf dem Stadtfest war köstlich, tja ... ;) Uff, gut gegangen.

Sympatyczny hotelik na pobyt w miejscowości, która turystycznie rozczarowuje.

Mały hotelik (3 pokoje) w zabytkowej kamienicy nad rzeką. Doskonale zlokalizowany, niedaleko rynku. W pobliżu bezpłatny parking miejski. Bardzo sympatyczny, uczynny właściciel.

Skromne śniadania, bez tzw. szwedzkiego stołu. Jeżeli przyjeżdża się w celach turystycznych, to miejscowość rozczaruje, na zwiedzanie wystarczą 2 godziny.

Perfect gelegen in het historisch centrum en toch zeer rustig. Ruim, mooi ingericht, prachtige badkamer bij elke kamer, fijn terras. Een echte parel! Doe daar de snel reagerende, vriendelijke eigenaar bij die hoogstpersoonlijk voor ontvangst en ontbijt zorgt... Prachtige ervaring en een absolute aanrader!

Alles! Vriendelijke gastheer! Pal naast het centrum Kamer zéér ruim en met airco. Mooi afgewerkte, propere kamer met heel groot bed, dat zalig ligt Ook nog eens een enorme badkamer. Bad en douche en 2lavabo's en nog kun je er dansen🤭 Volledige benedenverdieping gezellig en functioneel ingericht Drank ter beschikking aan heel schappelijke prijs. Water en koffie gratis Koelkast en vuur mag gebruikt Ook hier erg netjes en proper Kortom heel erg tevreden. Als we nog eens in de buurt moeten zijn logeer ik daar zonder twijfel opnieuw Ontbijt kun je krijgen en of zelf maken. Maar wij zijn op nog geen 10meter, bij straff@ roy en dorien gaan ontbijten en ook dat is aan te raden... zo lekker

Absolute aanrader!

De kamers waren zeer hygiënisch en voorzien van alle comfort. We hadden de beschikking over het hele huis en verbleven er met de kinderen en hun partners n.a.v. overnachting van een huwelijksfeest in de omgeving. De host was zeer vriendelijk en liet ons de keuze voor een al dan niet een ontbijt te nemen en bood hulp bij andere praktische vragen. De gratis koffies (nespresso) waren een absolute meerwaarde na een nachtje feesten. Die konden we genieten op de rustige binnenplaats met een krant die we ook ter beschikking hadden. Absolute aanrader!

Qua b&b is dit echt top. Goede ontvangst, goedlachse gastheer, alles tip-top in orde. Prachtige kamers met uitstekende badkamer. De locatie dicht bij het centrum.

We konden helaas slechts één nacht blijven, maar we komen zeker terug
