The toilet and shower are separated and yet both very modern and nice. the staff is very friendly and helpful. Towels and selected beverage like tea and coffee are provided for free.

Absolute gem to stay, will deffinately come back when visiting Antwerp

Awesome lobby, nice staff are the best point of this hostel. Generally good and well planed room. Despite 8 people in the relativly tiny room it was really comfortable. Big kitchen where guests could cook (and I really mean cook, there is even an oven there :) Location is also quite good

If the rooms will be for 6 not 8 - that will be absolute best (just a little bit too noisy when there is 8 people in the room) But its just a minor issue

I loved the room. The only down point was no bath and construction work outside. Everything else was marvellous, really loved the room, the friendly staff, the cleanliness of the room and that they clean it every day. Location was superb too!

Marvelous

It’s hands down the best hostel I’ve been to. The place is very aesthetic and pleasant to the eyes. It has a gym (which isn’t professional, but it’s a gym and it’s empty all the time), the kitchen is nice, and the rooms are tidy (they get cleaned every day). The system to get in is great. You use your card for everything. It has a nice rooftop and a restaurant if you want, plus two supermarkets very near if you’re on a budget. The staff is very nice and helpful, and the ambience is great, I made a few friends. 10/10.

The doors make a loud clicking sound when you close them and if you don't take care of them it's easy to slam them and interrupt someone's sleep. But it's the only detail.

The curtain system in the beds , coffee for guests, shared kitchen and amenities in the room.

The cleaning was only once a week it would be better if the bed sheet were changed after 3/4 days for longer stays.

There was nothing I didn't like. A place that offers everything you could need for a stay in a beautiful city. The staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were great; the main shared spaces and the rooms were very clean and organized. The lockers actually locked. It was a hostel that really gives a lot of others a run for their money.

We had been cancelled on our paid booking in Ghent. We train to Antwerp. We were very pleasantly surprised with Yust. 10/10 +. And freshly cleaned room daily, everything we needed for 3 days. Antwerp was lovely.

Cosy, chill place to stay in Antwe

I generally had a good experience. However, when I climbed into bed on my first night, I spotted a garment. I assumed this belonged to the last occupant. I reported it promptly. The next day, I noted that the garment still wasn’t removed and bedding wasn’t changed. I asked the staff in reception. She was incredibly accommodating and got fresh bedding and towels for me. She was understanding of my concerns. And made sure to get clean things for me despite her closing up reception. Cleanliness is one of my biggest concerns and I made the booking based on how highly other occupants have raised.

The place has a lot of additional advantages, the good equipped kitchen, the plugs inside the locks (for free), the beautiful lobby with the drinks, the good hairdryer. Even the gym! It's closed to the center.

Antwerp culture and feeling lived by the hotel and personal.

The atmosphere is really enjoyable and quite new to me as a visitor. Including the personal communication and flair of Antwerp, it was rememberable (event with the lowest room category).

Fantastic stay, I highly reccomend

the lobby was so fantastic and had great vibes for a chill night in of reading and relaxing, there were also some board games which I didn’t get to check out. The free coffee, tea and water in the lobby was an absolute highlight for me to start my day and unwind at the end. The shared kitchen was also clean and super nice. I also loved the curtains on the beds which gave good privacy when needed + the spacious shower which was clean. The staff were also friendly and helpful which added an extra lovely touch to my stay:)! Additionally, despite many reviews saying the hostel was not social, I made many friends in my dorm during my stay which made it special:) thank you to the YUST team for the great experience.

nothing! I had a scare with a booking.com scam message but a quick email to the hotel to confirm that the message was a scam immediately eased my worries. (Ps: the property is quite a walk from city centre but if you take a tram/ don’t mind walking like me, it’s a fantastic place to stay)

Overall, very satisfied

The room was really nice and the breakfast was good too. The overall atmosphere of the entire accommodation is very pleasing. Would definitely recommend it.

We weren't entirely satisfied with the dinner in terms of quality/quantity compared to the price. The view of the room was just a construction site (which was not a problem to us, but it might be nice for other people to know)

The privacy in the dorm, kitchen and fitness are on the same floor as rooms. Great for long and short stays. Oh they give you free earplugs.

Hostel de luxe

The atmosphere is amazing and so are the facilities. The hostel have a luxe feel - even the dormitories. And by luxe I don't mean cold, it has a very homey feel to it. There is a co-working area with free tea and coffee. You honestly get a massive bang for your buck here! Also the food at the breakfast buffet was top notch (except the waffles... Sickeningly sweet, like a Liège waffle) and I've heard locals say the restaurant is great too.

One major issue: The top beds are impossible to get in and out of without risk of breaking your neck or back. The steps/stairs is not ergonomic or intuitive at all, the handle for your hand is up too high. You're really blindly feeling your way down or up with your feet, grasping with your hands at whatever may support you... I saw other people struggle as well. Smaller issues: I got zero explanation on the facilities upon checking in (eg fitness, laundry, breakfast...). They have a Whatsapp chatbot that can answer your every question but I'd still expect some basics upon checkin. Also at 7:30am still several items were missing from the breakfast buffet, which opens at 7am. We had to go ask for butter, pistolets, waffle batter...

Some of the books in the hotel room piqued my interest, the room was clean, thank you for your stay.

I ordered a room with a birthday surprise for my wife, we arrived and were given a room at about 14 C. The surprise was spoilt. Nevertheless, I managed to host my wife's birthday. The second hotel room better than the first, I was hoping to rise to the occasion. Two balloons and champagne were not a pleasant surprise.

very welcoming hotel, chill atmosphere, the staff is available, the bed is comfortable, it is cheap and affordable, it is very safe because everything’s work with the card, the kitchen is useful and the gym is so nice. I like the concept “talk to strangers” because I meet lovely people! (I loved the free tea)

I think there are things to improve. Like more attention to the kitchen, also to the cleanliness of the equipment: plates, pots, forks ect. On the fridge there is a paper that says that in Monday the all fridge will be cleaned up and they throw everything that is not inside a box..my food was in the fridge but not in a box because there wasn’t any left, and they throw my food in the trash..not really nice of them! If you wanna do this you have to put more boxes! Even the room, there was little attention to cleanliness, especially the floor had to be vacuumed. one of my roommates vomited in the bathroom on the floor... she had to clean it herself, absurd! and what's more, after collecting the vomit, she threw it in the sink and covered everything up, so me and all the other girls couldn't wash ourselves and there was a disgusting smell all day and night! Another roommates she bring people during the night and had sex with them, they sleep there for free and use bathroom and shower.. how is that possible that none that work there noticed!? After wake up at 2am in the morning I said to her to go out because there are people sleep here! So disrespectful! After 3 nights like that I talk to the staff, they understand that it was crazy. Honestly I don’t like the menu I think that the food and drink choices were unappealing, I really don’t understand because there were a lot of students. Maybe you could put club sandwich and frites, pancakes, waffle, hamburger, omelet, big salad, kebab, chicken wrap,taco, burritos, toast, bitterballen, churritos, crêpes etc For drinks like frappè, centrifuge drinks, sweet cocktail like pina colada margarita etc

As with any other hostel, your overall experience depends on other people (guests). I stayed in YUST 6 night, some of it were good, but some - was not really (noisy, drunk guests, drying their hair after midnight etc.) Would be good to choose the type of bed (top/down) during the booking process
