A welcoming, comfortable stay which was value for money.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. A vegetarian full cooked breakfast was available. The hotel was in the centre of the town.
Some of the furniture was dated and the tower rail in the bathroom didn't work. The walls were rather thin and there was lots of morning noise from the street.

We had a lovely welcome from the moment we arrived, even though it was very busy, due to it being the start of the six nations rugby season, with the Wales v England match. We had booked tickets for a concert nearby that evening and decided to try to get something to eat before leaving. We didn't have much time, but we managed to find a table and were served promptly with a lovely meal. We had a great night and a fab breakfast the next morning. We will definitely stay at the Rose & Crown the next time we are in town for the night. Thank you, Gemms and the staff, for making our stay so enjoyable.
Nothing that concerned us. This is a pub in the town centre and it was extremely busy due to the afore-mentioned rugby match, but the staff handled it so well.

This was a well located hotel, with a smooth check in process and very friendly staff. Felt safe!
Accessibility by train was excellent, staff were very helpful and friendly. Felt very safe, and would recommend for a woman travelling on their own.
The bathroom felt a little small, but overall everything was clean, and the shower was good.
