Great food great staff!

Great food

The sign that hangs on the front of the building bangs against a steel bar in a breeze where I always sleep with the window open I had to close it making the room too warm. Sign should be fixed properly so it does not bang!!!

Great value, location and very helpful and pleasant staff.

Easy to locate in a central position. Check in was very friendly and times of meals etc advised. Knowledgeable re taxis and late night drinks. The room was spacious,bed extremely comfy, plenty of tea, coffee etc provided. The towels were large, white and fluffy. Breakfast was included in the price and offered a good selection.i had the vegetarian breakfast which was well presented and tasty.

An enjoyable few days at The Boars Head.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I had a problem with my suit jacket being creased as I was on my way to a wedding. The young lady who was by herself went out of her way to bring me an iron and ironing board. On our arrival on Friday at approximately 15.00 the lady who greeted us was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Overall an enjoyable stay with a decent breakfast to boot with plenty of choice.

We stayed in number 25 which was okay but could have done with 2 bedside lamps. Also my sister in number 23 had netflix. I would think that this would be same throughout the other bedrooms.

The bed frame was dangerous as the frame stuck out as the mattress was sunken in the frame as its design, not ideal for walking around it.

Lovely old hotel in central Carmarthen.

The room was cosy, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel was very welcoming. I would stay again but might ask for a lower room. Great central location with parking.

The climb up the stairs was a bit challenging! The access to the car park was also challenging, however neither of things are the fault of the hotel!

Room was clean but everything else was awful

Bread was not cut in half had no butter inside just a sausage plonked inside. No presentation at all. Orange juice and teas and coffees were there to help yourself so that was OK.

We were put on the top floor which was difficult as I have a heart problem asked if we could have a room on lower floor and. Was just told No. We couldn't open the window in the room and if there had been aa fire we could not have got out. There are no fire doors. The stairs were narrow and on a spiral and the carpet looked filthy. We had an evening meal on arrival and the table was sticky our cutlery. Stuck to the table.

Easy walk from Station

The location was perfect ! . An easy walk from the railway station over the pedestrian bridge. We arrived late at night, and It was nice to be greeted by friendly bar staff. We had contacted Boars Head earlier advising of our delayed arrival. We appreciated the lovely lady waiting the extra minutes for our arrival ! Room was clean, comfy bed and hot shower. Our hearty English breakfast, which was included in price was served by friendly staff. Yes, we would stay here again !

Good value for money pub in the centre of town.

Lovely friendly staff, very nice evening meal in the restaurant. Good choice of food, very well prepared. Good to have parking at the rear of the hotel, although see comment below.

The car park is extremely tight for space with a narrow access under the archway. Our car was fine but large vehicles might have difficulty.

Room nice, but close proximity to main street made it very very noisy in the day and even more at night. Sat night noise until 3am., so didn't sleep well.

Lovely friendly staff, nice comfortable bed, the breakfast was very tasty, carpark around the back of the building which was great.

Clean, good pub classics and ideally located

Welcoming staff and parking option. The restaurant sure have an atmosphere and good meals are served reasonably quick. Being very central allowed us to do some laundry and shopping in walking distance. One bedroom was equipped with USB charging options which is super convenient when you come from abroad.

Parking space are very tight, plan to use a narrow car if you rent. That's also a general advice as the roads are narrow too. Be mindful that upper floor stair is quite steep.

All in all - a good place to stay.

The staff were all great. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good with very large portions. Free parking was also great - with a narrow entrance.

Like other reviews - the room overlooking the street was noisy on Saturday night especially as they had live music in the bar immediately below our room (master bedroom) as well as a noisy street. I have to add that the room should have had tissues (it did not).
