They let me cancel one night free of charge on the same day. The staff gave me all good tips on what to do and see nearby. The ATM cave tour that I booked through them was amazing-an excellent guide.

It was very dirty and not well taken care of. Also very loud-you could hear what they were talking in the reception throught the walls. The door to enter the facility also probably woke everybody up

Super chill classic hostel vibe, YOU WILL MEET AMAZING PEOPLE HERE! lots of open air common spaces, plenty of places to be as social or as isolated as you desire. Broad age range, with lots of seasoned travelers sharing tips and stories. Honestly, I almost didn't stay after my experience at the Bella's in Caye Caulker,, which was one of my worst party hostel nightmare experiences in my life. The vibe is so radically different from that that I would almost suggest disassociating. A typical night here meant hanging out in the bar drinking my coffee and playing dominoes and sharing travel stories and eating the free mangoes and different fruit that the hostel volunteers and guests had gathered on casual trips. ICE COLD AC in the dorms, which happened to have a very pleasant cozy layout at least in my room. LOTS OF KITTIES!!! If you're allergic, that's going to be a problem but otherwise it's like free therapy.

File this under "if you care about this sort of thing which I don't": Approach to maintenance was pretty casual. We had a toilet that didn't flush and I mentioned it and it was never resolved. Just an example. Wouldn't have been a difficult fix I know that much about plumbing but at least I also know how to flush a toilet by taking the lid off. Some people might find the kitchen a little janky but it was well stocked as far as cooking implements. Mattresses were not top-notch.

The fact that I used their laundry service and half my clothes were returned stained with bleached. The cleaning lady had the audacity to say straight to my face she found my clothes like that, and they don’t use bleach. Even though there is tons of bleach bottles in the laundry room, and although they might only use them for their sheets . There was clear negligence in the process . The manager was kind enough to comp. my excursion the day prior however it did not cover the cost to replace my items.
