Quiet area.
No restaurant.

Location. Beds. Hot water in the showers.

The accommodation was good, with a good sized room with two double beds and a big bathroom. You also had access to a shared kitchen and it was located right in the centre of San Ignacio.
The (bath)room is a bit dated, and you don't have a lot of natural light during the day.

The price was really good. The location was convenient - it was within walking distance (about 2 1/2 blocks uphill) of down town. The room was clean and the bed I slept on was comfortable (I never tried the 2nd bed in the room). The bathroom was very large and everything worked - the water pressure was acceptable. The shared kitchen area was well stocked for ease in cooking and very clean. The best was the hanging bench at the entrance - for sitting and just watching life go by.
There wasn't much not to like. One night there was a lot of motorcycle action late into the night - it was Halloween night, but it did not happen again during my stay

I would rate this 10 out of 10 honestly the best place to stay when in San Ignacio - the room was extremely clean. The host was very kind and thoughtful. Always tried to make sure we weren’t overpaying for any excursion or taxi. The rooftop had so much to do from hot sauce, tasting rum, tasting and cooking classes, etc..
Nothing it was perfect

The apartment is located only a few steps away from the market and the central area of the town. The apartment itself consists of a private room and a bathroom, and a shared kitchen.
The windows in the room are quite small, so it’s difficult to let fresh air into the apartment and as a result the room remains quite humid.

It's very easy to walk to convenient stores, restaurants, and tour agencies. There is a common living area where you can get drinking water, use the refrigerator. It feels safe and easy to navigate around this area. The bedroom is slightly on the small side but the bathroom is very spacious. There is no daily housekeeping unless you request for it. Get the number of the owner so you can message them if there is any problem. We stayed three nights and it was a good experience.

Great location, very close to downtown area, market and Cahal Pech pyramids. The AC was not working properly but they fixed it super fast and then it worked great. I liked the shared kitchen in case you want to make some food. The room and restroom were very big.
All good

Nice, functional kitchen, good a/c in the bedroom, cool tiles on your feet, plenty of bottled water, clean place, roof top view and breeze, felt very safe and very helpful, informative and nice concierge. Plus, close to town but also, quiet location!
Really nothing we didn’t like. It was not a private kitchen but that reflected on the good rental rate. No bugs, so guess that’s another plus. Concierge was right on anything we had trouble setting up, like the gas stove.

Convenient location. Well stocked shared kitchen, fun activities upstairs (hot sauce and rum tasting), comfortable bed and massive bathroom. Great value.
We couldn’t find it and there was no clear sign outside.
7.0 / 10.0
We liked the hotels proximity to the downtown area as well as the Mary Sharp hot sauce and rum tasting on the rooftop. We enjoyed having access to the kitchen (even though it was shared). Management is extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. The cost was very appropriate for what we received.
The beds are not the most comfortable. The pillows also could use an upgrade. The bathroom is adjacent to the room and is private, but it is not connected to ventilation and becomes very humid. The only clothesline in the room is in the human bathroom, so nothing dries which was disappointing given the high number of water excursions in the area.

Nice accommodations, good location within walking distance to tours and restaurants. Had nice rooftop bar with swings and great views. It was nice to have a kitchen to share. Quiet.

Location was 5 minute walk down to downtown and Burns street, but still quiet enough for a peaceful stay. This allowed us enjoy restaurants, shops, and markets in the evenings after spending the daytime at remote jungle locations, without having to drive after dark. Room was large and cool with AC and daylight basement location with unexpected heat wave during our stay. Bathroom large with clothesline for drying swimsuits and towels. Shared kitchen had everything you could ever need.
A room safe would have been handy, though then you also run the risk of forgetting to take passports for Tikal. Lavatory stopper didn't work too well, so I just used a towel when dealing with contact lenses.

This was probably the cleanest, most organized place we have ever stayed. The common kitchen was spotless! Charlene, the manager even got us a full bag of ice for free! We tried to reserve again 3 weeks later, but it was full-up!

What a delightful stay! Spotless, prime location and incredibly friendly! Rainforest Haven Inn is so appropriately named! The host Charlene is simply lovely in every way and provided the BEST hospitality. The accommodations are super clean, spacious and comfy. You can easily walk to the downtown area to enjoy stores, restaurants and the outdoor market. There is a shared kitchen that has everything you need. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I felt welcomed and cared for and I will stay here again when I return.

My room was incredibly clean and spacious. The bathroom was also huge, but the tub was awkward to get in to (I'm short). Charlene was the best host a traveler could ask for! I hope she has a great vacation this summer- she earned it.
Nothing.

The place was a lovely stay and in a great location, very walkable. It was spacious, clean and had a nice sized kitchen to make meals. It has a little patio area and also a rooftop space for relaxing. Our host Sherline was friendly and very accommodating, giving us good recommendations and did laundry service.

It was super close to the main street of 'town' which was great. The staff were lovely and super helpful. The rooms were a decent size and the air conditioning worked well. Also had free filtered water to stay hydrated. Very helpful! And super safe.
The bathroom fan and light were exceptionally loud, so any time anyone went to the bathroom it woke the other person up.
The floors were quite dusty, so I could never get my feet clean and I had to wear shoes all the time..I think it was because of all the smoke and stuff in the air. I would recommend the place. I liked it.

We had the two bedroom apartment and it was very spacious with fridge and patio area. The location is ideal for walking, with Cahal Pech, iguana sanctuary, and AJAW Chocolate to the south (uphill) and Burns street area with lots of restaurants and tour agencies 5 minutes in the other direction. The owner is on site and super friendly and helpful. We arrived unexpectedly early and were able to check in early. Overall, a good value.
The apartment is dark and dingy, with little natural light, and the bathroom a bit cramped with no ventilation. It could be cleaner- all the dishes in the cupboard were filthy with dust and ants and the floors were sticky and not suitable for being barefoot in the apartment- didn’t seem like they mopped after the last guest. Wifi and cell reception are terrible.

The room, bathroom, and kitchen area were pristinely cleaned before we arrived. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare and eat a meal (including coffee!). The bathroom is very spacious and the room had a television with lots of watch options (and it swiveled so we could see it on either bed) and cold A/C as well as a ceiling fan. There was a great porch swing where we hung out and read or had coffee or cocktails. The staff was awesome and extremely helpful anytime we needed anything. Location was close to tons of restaurants, shops, the market, and walkable to Cahal Pech and many other sites.
When I booked, there were some features of the hotel that didn't end up being available during our stay (the rooftop terrace, rum tastings, etc), which was disappointing. They were working on bringing those back and construction was happening on the rooftop while we were there, so hopefully coming soon!

Location was great…edge of downtown…I walked everywhere. there is a shared kitchenette…I hadn’t realized. good for a family to book. Washroom was big. AC and fan were MUCH appreciated!
Would have found hooks in and more racks in the bathroom to hang towels, clothes etc.

Poor maintenance of the facility and lack of hot water.

property is clean and very well kept; close to restaurants and shopping; Cahal Pech is right up the road as well as a casino. a/c is super cold in the bedrooms; nice bedding as well
be careful of steps leading to your room from the car park; it’s very tricky when bringing in your bags, other than that,
