Great budget stay

Great location, just a few minutes walking from the main area. Great to have access to a fridge and kitchen. Clean.

The bed was very uneven. Lots of noise from animas but I still slept well.

Good little stop in San Ignacio

The location was ideal for us and close enough to everything needed. The kitchen was adequate to make what you need and was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Walls are a bit thin but my earplugs stopped any noise.

I guess you get what you pay for (but still)

- warm water was available - bathroom was really big - located in a good area

- initially wanted to pay by card but they insisted on a 5% commission (which we didn’t encounter on other activities/restaurants/shops/anything in San Ignacio) - wanted to pay cash but they couldn’t give us the change back because the cash register was closed (ended up paying the comission for the card payment) - the room we had was right by the street and sometimes it was rather loud - the bathroom door was very shabby and made a sound like the gates of Mordor when opening it - there was a dead spider inside one of pillow cases

Cold shower, broken sheets (so used and old that they were all thorn apart), mattress was saggy and uncomfortable.

Cheap sleep, clean, but well-worn.

The location of this property is exceptionally convenient for downtown San Ignacio and the market area. The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive without being in your face. Overall it was a cheap sleep. Provided fans were adequate. They accepted credit cards on site with a small fee. It felt safe in the area.

The facilities were in worse condition than I expected. 100% of the sheets had holes in them. The mattresses were well-used.

Close to town centre. Warm shower. Nice staff

There are partition walls consisting of a thin plank of wood between the bedroom and bathroom of next door. Can hear absolutely everything. No air con but did have electric stand up fan

Nice, welcoming guest house in a great location

Welcoming staff, always happy to help. Good sized room. Comfortable and clean. Great water pressure in the shower ( only cold water). Great location close to town, but up a hill so nice views from the balcony. Coffee and drinking water provided

Kitchen was useful, but a bit higgledy piggledy and often being used by staff, so we sometimes felt a bit in the way when we wanted to make food. There is a coffee maker, but a kettle would be an easier option. Quite expensive for what it is.

No guest service whatsoever from staff. Could not get desk clerk to help me locate tours, she made no attempt whatsoever to assist me. I found her attitude appalling.

good option for san ignacio

double bed was comfy, single bed not so much. an easy walk into town and easy to walk to cahal pech from here & nice staff who speak english and spanish. they let us check in pretty early which was really great there’s a kitchen you can use and had all you could need

be prepared to wake up at 4am from the chickens then again at 5am from the dogs nearby. wouldn’t walk the area nearby alone in the night we hired a car from the owner but was pretty expensive for the quality of the car & any fuel not used was lost

The hosts were very kind and accommodating. Very accessible location, about a block away from downtown but still quiet all weekend long. The room and bathroom were clean and sink, shower, etc. were in working order with no problems. The room had both an overhead fan and air conditioning, which was much appreciated. This property also offers car rentals, but we didn't need one this time around. I definitely recommend staying here when visiting San Ignacio. It was a great value as well.

Great stay in downtown

Great location in downton San Ignacio, very friendly staff, very clean and a small kitchen with refrigerator and coffee machine. Every room has its own bathroom and the terrace has a beautiful view of downtown.

It's a wooden building, so the walls between the rooms are very thin indeed, so you can hear the other guests.

No breakfast served. A gas stove refrigerator and microwave oven was provided in the shared area. The microwave was in poor shape.

Terrible in all ways

The location is close to the center and taxi/bus stops

You need to climb a steep road when arriving from the center. We had to wait ten minutes before somebody came to check us in. We booked a luxury room with balcony and AC, but initially received a room with only a window. After complaining, we received a room with supposively a balcony, which was nothing more than an outdoor public hallway with one chair (we were traveling with two). We had to wait for about an hour before we received the key of the room however, because it was apparently taken by a previous guest. The room itself did not have functioning airconditioning, had a nasty smell coming from the shower, had bad linnen with several holes, a terrible mattress where you could feel the springs. Further the room was extremely noisy with people talking outside till 03:00 AM, upper neighbors footsteps clearly hearable, same as their drainage which was hearable. On top of that, we felt that the owner did not take our complaints very serious, nor showed anyf friendly behavior.

We had a very comfy stay @ Matteu's house. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Very close to the heart of St. Ignacious. I would recommend this accommodation if you are in the area

Good value option in San Ignacio Clean place Close to downtown (indication of location in booking is wrong - it's actually 200 m further DOWN the road)

noise during the night: barking dogs nearby, crowing rooster. No earplugs -> no sleep :-( Shaking mattresses, if one person moves the other one wakes up

lovely host, room was perfect, hassle-free easy car rental

Matus was kind, generous and a wonderful host. The shower was great, the room was clean, the beds were comfy and we had free use of kitchen and a place to refill our water bottles. Matus also gave us great travel tips and we rented a car from him. Car was in great condition and he helped us plan our drive. Highly recommended and decently priced.
