Great traditional hotel with amazing breakfast and dinner. Hot springs are very nice. Loved wearing the traditional clothes and relaxing with my family. Easy walk to aquarium, the rope way, souvenirs, bakery and food. In room massage was amazing!!

Property is clean and well maintained although the facility is generally dated. Excellent location and wonderful staff that is so friendly and helpful. Food was about a 7.5 of 10.

Would have liked the option to access the outdoor portions of the facility

The floor bed was not that comfortable, and found the shower and toilets outdated and not that clean.

When I changed my room the view was lovely from the room

Although I traditional Japanese hotel the hotel was very dated and in need of refurbishing. Bathroom was very dated and tired and had an unpleasant smell in the toilet. The staff were lovely although many problems in translation. I was in the half board package and in the restaurant the food was pretty inedible. Extreme Japanese food and they weren’t able to help with some dietary requirements but on the second day I went to the sister hotel grand prince Hakone and the buffet food was amazingly good !
