This was an exceptional Ryokan. We had the most enjoyable time. The food was amazing and we had booked a room with a private Onsen, which was so relaxing.
The only thing we didn’t like was that we weren’t staying another day. It was lovely.

When I changed my room the view was lovely from the room
Although I traditional Japanese hotel the hotel was very dated and in need of refurbishing. Bathroom was very dated and tired and had an unpleasant smell in the toilet. The staff were lovely although many problems in translation. I was in the half board package and in the restaurant the food was pretty inedible. Extreme Japanese food and they weren’t able to help with some dietary requirements but on the second day I went to the sister hotel grand prince Hakone and the buffet food was amazingly good !
