Hakone Hotel

It was close to everything, restaurants just a walk away from the hotel, we liked the view from our room,staff were so kind and accomodating

Everything. Room was comfortable and huge, staff were very friendly, having access to complimentary soft and hot drinks was more than we expected and buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. The huge bath in the room was absolutely lovely and the small onsen’s on 3rd 4th floor were open late hours and quiet when we used them. We slept great here, used Pam’s restaurant next door for Mediterranean food and the bus service (which stops right outside the hotel) to get to Moto-Hakone and other parts of Hakone. To top it off, the sight-seeing cruise starts right outside which is included on the Hakone freepass (highly recommend getting) and can be used as a mode of transport also

Nothing bad to say about this property. We paid extra for the lake view room which with hindsight we mightn’t have done next time given we went in July so there was a lot of clouds, no visibility to Mt Fugi and during a typhoon- no fault of the hotels just book wisely

The room is quite spacious.

The hot spa is very small and primitive. No sauna and no cold pool. Outdoor spa is also very very small.
