Absolutely amazing experience. The room was huge. We felt like we were in our own japanese home. The beds were comfy and the food was delicious. The private hot spring was perfect and we spent most of our time enjoying it. So grateful for the staff and how kind and accommodating they were.

Beautiful exposure to Japanese culture. We enjoyed it very much. Onsen was great. Food was great. Staff very kind. Very clean. Great accommodation.

Amazing place attention to every detail, incredible privet onsen with EVERYTHING you need The beds were so comfortable, the staff was amazing. And the location in right in the harbor. Most restaurants close very early around there, so we found the 7/11 (2 min) a perfect place to grab a light dinner. It really is close to everything. Walking distance from the peace Tori gate

It’s a little high up but the have a shuttle service.

Dinner and breakfast were awesome. Private onsen was good. The staff was very courteous and respectful. Just a few added amenities would have taken this stay from mediocre to great.

Besides drinks, a few snacks would have been nice. Did not realize a futon in Japan is a thin mattress on the floor. Definitely not a good stay for someone 65 years or older. No chairs to sit on - everything is on the floor. Very hard to relax. A small place outside with some chairs to have some drinks and relax, enjoy nature, would have made a world of difference. The private shower was a handheld attachment to the wall. I realize the point is to maintain and experience Japanese tradition, but having some western amenities would be wise in my opinion.
