Quality doesn’t meet the price

- Staff was kind and helpful - Bar area

- Stains in the sheets and toilet, cleaning wasn’t good enough - Bugs in the room; they crawled from below the floors - Extremely thin walls, you can hear literally everything from the neighbours including farting - Breakfast was bad and quite basic - Location is not that good especially if you don’t have a car, quite steep streets and takes a while from the center to get to. Nearest grocery store is also far away without a car - You share the AC with your neighbour, it caused the AC to break in the middle of the night and the staff is only available until 8 pm - Visible and smelly mold in the swimming pool area

Lovely short break.

Conveniently located with a short walk downhill to the lake front. Room was very spacious and the staff were very welcoming.

Didn’t seem to offer an evening meal so we had to eat elsewhere.

Superb

We arrived at 2 a.m. The owner was waiting for us and accepted us with patience and smile. The location is perfect and the view from the room was amazing. The staff was really nice and helpful

At one point we ran out of hot water in the shower. Besides that everything was perfect

Very relaxing, beautiful views

The hotel seems farther away but is actually only a 10 walk from the centre , as it's up on a hill, the view from the outside bar area and pool was spectacular, the room was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast had a good selection, the staff were lovely and friendly, good pool area, if you are arriving by bus, I would recommend getting a taxi on arrival with baggage but otherwise the walk is very easy , I would stay here again

Amazing view and quiet surroundings. Great breakfast. Free use of tennis court incl rackets and balls. Good wifi and aircon. Huge lobby and a bar with coffe, drinks etc.

Hard beds and pillows. Owner talks German and Italian, limited English.

Pleasant

The breakfast was really good! It's only a 15-minute walk to the center of Malcesine.

The room was not clean. There were many black spots on the walls and on the cord in the shower. The ventilation system was full of dust. the sink and toilet were only cleaned once in a whole week. The toilet paper was not replenished, so I had to ask for it myself. The rooms are really old! They need a major refresh.

The hotel was adequate and considerably cheaper than most in in the area town which we enjoyed

breakfast was better than expected the staff friendly and helpful .The hotel though a tad tired provided our basic needs the bed was more comfortable than it looked overall the hotel was ok and at the lower end of price range acceptable

mosquitoes made our stay uncomfortable and going outside our room to the garden area unforgiving so be better prepared than us ( not the hotels fault)and our rooms on the ground floor had a very restricted view no fridge and no working air conditioning. The in room safe was pointless in fact laughable as you could actually remove it from its place with one hand as it was fastened to a removable shelf in a wardrobe , walking access from the town centre was a challenge

Brilliant hotel ran by brilliant people

Perfectly situated not to close to the centre of malcesine and the perfect walking distance, the staff were so friendly and helpful the lady on the front desk and her husband were perfect hosts loved our stay

we loved the location & being family owned. it is a bit dated but adds to the charm. our room was large with plenty of shelf & hanging space. the Continental breakfast offered a vast variety of cold options. very convenient & quiet area.

the mattress was very hard & gave us back ache. 2 days the room was not serviced.

Single beds to soft and to low.shower cubicle to small .fridge was not connected.water basin leaked from plug and water was not hot.tv to small . Owner did not speak proper English.

Friendly staff, but too expensive for the quality of the hotel.

The staff was very friendly and catered to our needs. I had to leave very early on day of check out so I missed breakfast but the staff packed a little to-go breakfast.

The property has not been updated in a long time. It’s in need of maintenance, the bedding was old and had a couple holes and the bathroom I had is also in need of an update.

After being given the wrong room with no view of the lake, they moved us without any bother.

The breakfast was adequate - maybe mixed fresh fruit salad not just thin slices of cantaloupe.

Clean and comfortable

Friendly and accommodating staff. Well located for going into Malcesine. Well cleaned and had nice seating areas. Some great views of the mountain and lake.

Hotel generally feels very dated and rooms lacked some comfort. Shower was very small. Breakfast was not terribly interesting but they catered well to doetary requirements. Good bread selection and it was nice to see Cava on offer! Juice selection was not to my taste and coffee machines were a bit temperamental. Pool was cold and there were very few loungers near it.

Macesine is a lovely place to stay. Just magical.

Room was well located on ground floor and with a lovely view over the lake. Breakfast was excellent with good choice of food. Swimming pool was very nice too. Free parking. Plenty of walking to get to the town and back mostly along a pedestrian route.

Road access was a little tricky, so we chose to leave the car at the hotel and walk everywhere.
