Great location, had a lovely visit from the pig the next morning was very cute! Clean and well equipped house.

Early checkout of 10am. Master room bed was uncomfortable and extremely squeaky and noisy. One of the hand towels was badly stained from bleach

The heating is out of your control, the locks are confusing to 1st timers, and the limited communication with the owner is challenging. Also, Google maps doesn't understand the location (with or without the code) so it's tricky to find at first.

This is a great location for a base to visit the many places of interest. Good local walks with several places to eat out.

Unfortunately the property was not the one booked. It was old and worn out compared to the pictures of the one we had booked. The hot water was timed to come on repeatedly throughout the day and night which would be fine if it didn't also heat the radiators. Our few days were in a mini heatwave and the house was unbearably hot. The beds upstairs were rickety and uncomfortable, the whole of upstairs creaking if you walked about so disturbing the downstairs bedrooms. The stair banister was very loose so didn't feel safe to use. It's a shame because in its day it must have been a lovely holiday home. The daily visits by the farm pigs were fun but don't walk on the grass, it's a bog.

The location is fantastic and the village is wonderful. My children loved having the farm animals roaming around the grounds…

We stayed in cottage 5. We were not comfortable with the low standard of the building & structure integrity. The bannister was broken / wobbly Bathrooms were old and run down Electrical outlets were falling through the walls or cracked. Most smoke alarms were either not there or broken. There was no washing machine on the property, when the description on booking.com said there was. If we stayed here again I would ask not to stay at cottage 5
