The location… is amazing! we spent many hours hanging on the couch looking out at the sea. loved that we could just walk out of the house to the sea and over the rocks without driving anywhere. Liked how the bedrooms were all separate from each other and I could sleep in while my nephew was downstairs early each morning making lots of noise. Clifden, Kylemore etc we’re close by for day trips.
The electricity. The trip switch went every night, multiple times, turning off lamps and kitchen equipment so that one of us was running in and out to the garage. The last night power went every 10 minutes over an hour. The electrician came on the 2nd morning, but was not able to resolve the issue.

Phenomenal location, essentially on the tip of a peninsula overlooking the ocean and with a beach to yourself. The cottage is cosy, warm and had incredible views. When we needed assistance the caretaker Eileen was over within half an hour on a Saturday night to sort us out. Nothing was too much of a bother.
