Potentially great holiday house, just needs a bit of attention.
Great location, short walk to shops and restaurants. Stunning views of the mountains, near to beautiful beaches, kylemore abbey and lots of walks in the Conemara national park.
Spacious house with 6 bedrooms, large kitchen and sitting room. Comfy couches and smart tv.
The beds are very old and need new mattresses.
The stove in the sitting room has a broken glass door so it can't be used. The heating pipes are very noisy at night, trapped air I think.
Kitchen could do with a new set of 3 saucepans - small, medium, large. There's a gigantic one that hardly fits on the cooker and a large one. Some of the towels are threadbare. Kitchen hasn't any basic condiments. Lots of little things, that because of the good value you overlook. If you're going for a week pack ALL your essentials, including a decent saucepan, pillow and towel and you'll have a lovely time.
Host doesn't communicate with you once you've arrived and got the key.

You can't polish a turd!
Nothing
On our arrival we immediately noticed the property appeared run down but, it's an old cottage, so we opened the door and were immediately hit by the musty smell. The heating was on full blast, despite it being 22 degrees outside and I suspect this was an attempt to cover the musty odour.
On entering the property we realised it was in an exceptionally poor state of repair. Sofa's were sagging with stained covers, mattresses and pillows were old and poor quality. There were holes in walls, multiple cracks in bathroom fittings, dirty windows, and the whole handrail/spindals on the staircase literally moved away from you as you held the handrail. Bedding/towels were so old and worn there was no way I would have wanted to use them. I throw away bedding and towels in better condition. I don't believe there was anything in the property less than 30 years old.
I will acknowledge that the property was clean but as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd.
The condition of the property was so poor that we left immediately and found alternative accommodation. I requested, through Booking.com an immediate cancellation and refund which the owner agreed to. When I contacted the following day to follow up on the refund, the own refused saying that she didn't know we'd left, which is nonsense as I had messaged to complain, stated we were looking for alternative accommodation, and then formally requested a cancellation, which she acknowledged within minutes and made the offer of a refund. She then offered a partial refund on condition that we didn't post any reviews/pictures, which I declined. I suspect others have agreed, which is why this accommodation seems to have better reviews than it deserves.
My advice would be to find somewhere else.

Lovely spacious comfy property very close to the village
Lovely spacious property within 5 mins walk to the nearest pubs, restaurants & shop. The property was old but clean & comfortable.
The garden furniture in particular the table was not in good condition, it needs sanding & re-painting. This is a simple & cheap fix that would have made a difference

Very enjoyable and great to be able to walk from the door
Brilliant location and very spacious property
A bit tired- even towels were threadbare and only one hand towel and one bath mat between two bathrooms. Certain items missing from kitchen - eg oven gloves, frying pan etc but lots of other things that you don’t really need.

The location was perfect, just next to the National Park and a beautiful abbey
It wasn’t too comfortable, the mattress were old and some supplies in the kitchen need a replacement

Wonderful warm house for family.
The house was lovely and clean. The host accommodated us in a late checkout and seeing the farm. The house was warm and even had some toys for my toddler.

Lovely cottage, very spacious
Had to share two keys between 8 people. Really there should be one per guest to allow us all to come and go freely

Family friendly, spacious and comfortable.
Kids loved interacting with the animals. Views were great. Host responded quickly to a request for more towels. Short walk into the village centre.
More hand soap and some basic cupboard essentials such as teabags and coffee, salt, pepper and cooking oil would have been nice.

Perfect location and extremely comfortable house
Location was perfect for our Killary Harbour swim 2022. The house was lovely and inviting as the heat was on and it was lovely and toasty. The house was huge, with loads of beds to choose from. Perfectly located just a short walk from the the village.

Fantastic, surrounded by nature and a 2 minute stroll to the village. Plenty big for 6 adults and 2
The location was fabulous, 2 minutes walk from the village, nice pubs and restaurants and a fully stocked shop. Waking up to deers, pigs, guinea fowls and a number of other animals roaming free on the property. Place was really roomy too.
The beds were very uncomfortable. The bathrooms were very tired. It's the only thing stopping me from giving this place a10 out of 10!

Very good
Great location right in the heart of Letterfrack, just a few min walk to shops/pubs/restaurants. Really easy to deal with the Host and she was very helpful. Rooms and house was very spacious, would recommend booking this location.
The house is great in general, but just requires some small bits of maintenance within the house where door handles/towel rails were lose or fell off, but otherwise no issues.

Large farmhouse, great for a family gathering
A large 6-bed country house with a view to Diamond Hill located on a quiet farm.
Bathrooms were mouldy, with peeling paint and loud extractor. The wifi password provided didn't work. No fuel and matches to light the fireplace. No washing liquid and sponge. No coffee machine.
