Super cute! We had two rooms, both lovely and really comfy: excellent beds, a warm wooden style, and thoughtful little touches in the room. The place is very quiet, and having the restaurant right next door is super convenient. A great stop at the edge of Connemara.
Nothing to report, at first glance it might seem different from what the glowing reviews suggest, but no: it really is a lovely place !

Nicely decorated room (even though lacking some basic equipment (see below). Little courtesy snacks. Close to Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey.
We did a 2-week road trip through Western Ireland. At €180/night, this was by far the most expensive accommodation—and the worst experience. Far too expensive for what it offers: lacking basic equipment such as a water kettle and towel hooks! No breakfast was included either. All of that was included in any B&B we used throughout our trip and at a much lower rate. Wet towels had to be draped over the TV and bathroom door to dry. Instead, there was a hipster-style radio. Staff were only intermittently onsite, during restaurant hours. Luckily, our room (No. 5) was furthest from the restaurant, so we avoided most of the noise, but not the smell of frying food in the hallway, as the door between restaurant and rooms has to remain open because the customer toilet is in the hallway. The first night, we were woken at 2:30am by what sounded like a small earthquake. After investigating at 4am - desperately, since the noise kept coming and going - we discovered that the hotel's washing machine and dryers are directly beneath Room 5 in the cellar! Some staff had turned them on that evening, and the dryer was still running at 4am, with the tumble dryer at full speed and noise. Once it stopped, another loud machine (possibly a large water boiler) kept switching on and off throughout the night. The next morning, there was no staff around from 8–10am to complain to, despite being told reception would "probably be open tomorrow morning." In the afternoon, a helpful staff member apologized, though he said he was not the owner. He offered us another room, but its window faced the restaurant's exhaust and the parking lot, so we stayed in Room 5. We were promised the washer and dryers would not be used at night again, and this was respected. Unfortunately, the other machine continued switching on and off intermittently. All in all, a very poor experience, especially considering the expensive rate they charge.
