A relaxing stay in the beautiful hills of Umbria, on an gorgeous property with amazing hosts.

Relais Casamassima is a beautiful property located in the Umbrian hills very close to the city of Perugia. The property is extremely charming with an outside terrace, pool and patio, as well as parking for your car and remote access to the property through the main gate. The rooms are lovely and clean, with excellent bathrooms. Breakfast served each morning is excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful with all kinds of advice on what to do in Umbria. We would gladly stay here again.

Lovely stay but a little pricey for what it was.

The property was gorgeous and the staff were friendly. The rooms very spacious and comfortable to open suitcases and share with friends. The bed wasn't the most comfortable for me but everyone has a different personal preference for sleep and my friends all said they slept well!

We didn't realize breakfast was not included so that charge surprised us at the end. Wish the facility did more to tell us that was the case other than a single message sent through booking.com. Ideally it would be listed on the booking site more clearly and the hosts could have reminded us when we arrived and she told us about breakfast. Because the property is so isolated you don't really have a ton of food options unless you plan so just something to keep in mind when booking.

The perfect location for a stay in Perugia.

We had a lovely stay at Casamassima. Our suite (No. 1), with a separate living room and large modern bathroom, was big enough to relax and spread out. The suite is beautifully decorated with many extra touches. The wifi was good and the desk area had plenty outlets for charging. Most important was the wonderful customer service and attention paid by the staff, Lucetta and Alessia. They were always ready to help, to give advice, directions and to make reservations. If we return to Umbria, we will definitely stay here. Breakfast served on the outdoor terrace was exceptional!

Beautiful house in beautiful Umbria

Relais Casamassima is a beautiful house nestled in the olive groves and vineyards of Umbria. The owner has created a place where one feels like being in a private home, not in a hotel. The house is surrounded by a garden with lots of plants, including lemon and orange trees. The biggest adventage of the place, apart from the unusual location, is Luccieta - a person who performs various functions: receptionists, concierge, waitresses, wine and local cuisine experts, as well as an expert in the field of what can be seen and visited. She is simply a person who, with graet heart and dedication, cares about every aspect of the guests' stay. We ate dinner twice at home. They are certainly not the cheapest, but the quality of the dishes served did not raise any objections. Good house location - very close to Perruga and other Umbrian attractions.

As said you feel like at home not like in hotel - which also means some shortcomings in maintanance: we asked for cutting bushes on a side of very narrow entrance to the parking place - not done within a week; loose steps to the pool, etc. There is a fireplace in room 3. For most visitors, this may be the room's greatest advantage. The smell and dust coming out of the fireplace made my wife feel very bad, which made it impossible for her to sleep in the room. I didn't feel anything bad. Perhaps it is worth informing guests that such an open fireplace is in the apartment. Luckily there was a pull out sofa in the living room where my wife had a bed set up so the problem was solved.

Anna and Lucetta were very welcoming, there is a beautiful garden with flowers and agrumi trees, lots of shade so it doesnt get too hot; we didn’t even turn on the ac in our room (and outside was 38 degrees 😅). The breakfast was delicious. Cant wait for next summer when we visit again. 🥳

- food was good but way too expensive compared to Perugia and Umbria in general - the host was nice but also very keen on making money - no view over the fantastic hills from the terrasse or pool (all closed up by old pine trees - cosy, but not what you expect from the pictures)

Una perfetta fuga romantica tra i monti dell'Umbria

La struttura è splendida, la camera che abbiamo preso era incredibile, calda e accogliente tanto quanto la proprietaria e lo staff. Un posto che risulta immediatamente intimo e ti fa sentire subito tuo agio. Ogni cosa era curata nei minimi dettagli senza risultare mai pretenziosa ma anzi, tutto era esattamente dove doveva essere. Il luogo in generale, silenzioso e pulito immerso nella natura ti permette di godere di un silenzio e di una tranquillità meravigliosi e, se non fosse che la regione dove si trova è altrettanto bella, non usciresti mai dai confini del relais. Lo consiglio vivamente, sia per più giorni, sia per fare una fuga dalla monotonia della città in un posto che ti fa comunque sentire a casa.

Een prachtig, authentiek pand gelegen op een heel mooi landgoed met fenomenale vergezichten. De kamer is luxe (groot bed!) en van alle gemakken voorzien. Smaakvolle inrichting. Allerlei fijne plekjes in en om het huis om heerlijk te relaxen. Attente gastvrouwen, lieve huiskatten. Heerlijk ontbijt. Aanrader!

Houd er rekening mee dat de accommodatie wat afgelegen ligt. De stad Perugia is binnen 15 minuten te bereiken met de auto.

Un incroyable séjour au cœur de l’Ombrie. À découvrir absolument

Située à 15 min de Perugia. Casamassima est une charmante bâtisse à la décoration élégante et raffinée. Anna la propriétaire est très accueillante et chaleureuse et vous conseille sur votre séjour. La piscine est magnifique et offre une vue incroyable. Il est également possible de goûter le très bon vin de l’exploitation viticole d’Anna et son époux. Une pensée pour Alecia qui vous accueille avec gentillesse le matin au petit déjeuner.
