Very comfortable and easy going.

Hosts were really nice, greeted with tea and cakes, hosts were very informative. Food was exceptional. Would definitely recommend the manor. I was there with my sister and we both were very pleased we booked this b and b, there was wine glasses provided if you wanted to drink wine also tea coffee and cakes, you could ask for more if required, there was a fridge outside the room to keep your drinks cold. Very well run from ordering breakfast the night before, would stay there again.

Lovely lake district BnB.

The Staff were a delight, and made us feel very welcome right from the start. We were provided big breakfasts, and the hotel is in an ideal countryside location with plenty of nearby walks and access to town amenities not far away.

The location was excellent The room was excellent and extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast choice was immense and did nothing to help your wasteline The breakfast was freshly cooked and extremely tasty and nothing was skimped The hosts made you welcome and were knowledgeable about the area The house and grounds were impressive The tea/ coffee and cake on arrival was a nice touch and the cake was delicious

Convenient & quiet location with excellent hosts.

A short walk into Hawkshead makes Walker Ground Manor a convenient and peaceful location. Our room was very comfortable and spacious and included everything we required. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Sue & Richard are great hosts and couldn't be more helpful.

Fabulous! Book it!

Beautiful surroundings. Perfectly decorated, large room and large bathroom with shower and a bath. Lovely views, comfortable bed and gorgeous seating areas. Breakfast was exceptional! And so much choice. Lots of attention to detail. Perfect location just 5 minutes walk into the village which is a lot of pubs and places to eat. And brilliant bus schedules to get anywhere in the lakes.

A truly memorable stay in a beautiful home, hosted by the warmest people

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Walker Ground Manor. The Manor House is stunning, full of character, beautifully maintained, and rich with period features that give it so much charm. Sue and Richard were fantastic hosts: warm, welcoming, and full of helpful local knowledge. The location is super peaceful and perfectly placed for exploring the local area. Breakfast was a real highlight, with an amazing variety of options, all beautifully prepared and of exceptional quality. We really couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended!

Noticed there was a bit of a ‘dip’ in one side of the four poster bed mattress; but I am a rather fussy sleeper. Other than that everything was fantastic.

We had a lovely time in this delightful B & B and just wish it was closer.

The property was located in a quiet location, surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, greeting us with tea and cake on arrival. Our room was delightful and spotlessly clean. We liked the fact that the room was very much ours for the duration of our stay and that we were not disturbed. We both slept well, as the bed was very comfortable.and the bathroom just luxurious. We had a fantastic stay at Walker Ground Manor and have taken away some wonderful memories.

Couldn't recommend enough.

The location, The hosts and the room. The hosts Sue and Richard were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. Very knowledgeable of the area and tell you everything you need to know via message before you arrive. The area is really nice and peaceful and has quite a few pubs and niche shops you can go and visit. Be advised that on Sunday and Monday the fish and chip shop isn't open so there ia only one pub that serves meals. Would recommend to anyone.

A little gripe but it's usual for all b and b's Would have liked a little refrigerator in the room. But they did have one for you to use in the hallway so not really that much of an inconvenience.

Homely and relaxing

In early December, I visited the B&B as part of my 30th celebration with my partner. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and our room and property were beautiful. The B&B enhanced our trip away to the lakes and was one of the highlights. We stayed in the garden room. It was cosy, comfortable, and warm. As soon as we arrived, there were festive treats for us to enjoy- so we felt we could relax and make ourselves at home right away. The bed was good, (huge!), and we slept well. There's a lot of choice for breakfast (pre-order system, well explained by our host), so naturally, we tried to try something different each morning - all of it was homemade, locally sourced and delicious! The hosts offered us a recommendation for a day out, and so, we switched up our plans and had a fab day without needing to use the car and we had the chance to explore the local area. The little details made this stay for me- home-baked treats, festive communal lounge with a log fire, luxury toiletries to enjoy a relaxing bath and the garden.
