Waitress staff were charming. Sunday dinner - Superb - probably the best roast beef dinner I have ever had. Car parking pass, included in price, was very useful.

Room was compact and a liitle smaller than indicated by the picture. (We had Edward) Booking.com indictated a £15 per day charge for parking which was incorrect.

Breakfast was Fair, not quite a full English, the toast was too hard we had to ask for Marmalade when it should have been given. Wait times slow on some days. And items forgotten.

The meals. There should be a more varied menu not just Cordon Bleu which isn't to everyone's taste.

Beautiful room, spotless and comfortable. Attentive staff. Fresh and very tasty food. We would highly recommend and will stay again.

We were woken at 6:45 in the Sunday morning by deliveries that lasted at least an hour outside our bedroom window. Otherwise, our stay was faultless. Room, staff, bar, food and breakfast really all excellent. We would certainly stay again it has been the nicest hotel stay in the lakes in years however we felt we need to pre warn other guests if this wake up call is a regular occurrence.

Great location in centre of Hawkshead with a parking permit provided. Rooms beautifully decorated. Staff very friendly. Food was excellent
