Pickle pot loft was perfect! Cute, cosy and very clean . Couldn’t fault it. It’s in a brilliant location too. I would definitely stay there again.

It has been beautifully renovated and is in a great location.
It was dirty. The area by the front door stank of dog poo when we arrived. So much so, that I had to go around to the Co-op and buy bottles of Zoflora to put down straight away, and again midweek. The stench was awful. The front door is filthy and doesn’t present a great appearance.
The apartment itself could be lovely but it had barely been cleaned. Bedside tables had tea stains and sticky patches, the floors were gritty and dirty, and there was a layer of brown gunge and hair in the shower. The skirting boards were pretty dirty too.
You would expect a degree of scuffing on the walls of a rental property but there were nasty marks and stains around the walls by the dining table which, like the shower, had to be cleaned to make the area acceptable for use. The rug in the sitting room is really grubby and marked, and the apartment smelt when we arrived. We managed to get a window open to air it out, but the overall experience on arrival was very poor.
We made the most of of our time in the lakes but I don’t think I would be inclined to book through Laik again. You don’t expect a rental to be as clean and tended as your own home, but we rent apartments every year and this did not live up to its promise or its price.
