Welcoming and relaxing stay, with amazing views

Sarah sent us through directions ahead of our arrival and greeted us when we got there. She was so friendly, spoke to us about our day, showed us to our room and explained where things were and what time breakfast would be served from. The room itself was perfect for what we needed. Having been up Scafell that day, we were longing for a hot shower and a comfy bed and that is EXACTLY what we got! The room was warm and cozy, once we were in there, we didn't want to go out again after that. In the morning, we headed down to breakfast and once again was greeted by Sarah. She made us teas/coffees and cooked us both the breakfast of our choices, made form local produce, which tasted so good. The area and location of the guest house is perfect, situated in a quiet little hamlet with nothing but farmlands, valleys and the Catbell fells surrounding it, the views from the rooms were amazing. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely look to come back again soon!

The location was amazing, stunning views and gorgeous walks straight from the property. Really comfortable bed and the Breakfast was fresh and really tasty.

The bedroom was really cold, although the heating was on the whole time I don’t think the room retains enough heat to really warm up to a comfortable temperate sadly. This was only an issue due to the time of year we have come.

No heating or water for morning shower. Pretty crucial for this part of town. No remedy offered which was disappointing (and would have been declined)

This is a lovely family run bnb . Just from it’s backyard is trail to catsbell which we did and enjoyed … located few miles from buttermere this is a great pit stop ..we made a good choice :)

We had a lovely one night stay and would highly recommend. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, then this is the

Sarah, the proprietor is lovely. The location is out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the nearest town and the views are just spectacular. Our bed was so comfortable, with great pillows and complete peace and quiet from outside. We couldn’t help but be constantly drawn to the wonderful views of the mountains from our bedroom window. Breakfast was superb. My partner had the full English and I had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and both were delicious.

It was ok

Absolutely love the location of the property. The views were brilliant with plenty of places to walk. Just got to be careful of the single track down to the property.

Firstly, there wasn’t a clear place for us to check in as there was no one there to greet us. So waited around half an hour before someone came to check us in to our room.( would recommend messaging the property before you get there to let them know your estimated time of arrival because we had no signal when we got there). Secondly the bed covers smell a bit damn as though they weren’t dried properly and the single beds were quite hard, which was a real shame. Because of that; we didn’t really have a good night sleep and just wanted to get out of there. The breakfast was ok, they didn’t have beans which I would think was part of English breakfast and my and the sausage wasn’t that was provided wasn’t cooked properly.(still a bit pink)

A perfect getaway !

Littletown Farmhouse is set in what has to be one of England’s most stunning areas with incredible mountain views. This was our fourth stay here and as usual, room and breakfast perfect !

The full English Breakfast was exceptional. The room was cosy and had everything we needed. Loved the fact it was remote and you could walk in any direction. Sarah and family were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

The drive to the guesthouse is very difficult in the dark so would be good to travel there in the day time to get familiar to the roads.

Secluded, quiet location within the stunning scenery of Newlands Valley, Lake District. Lisa, our host, very friendly & relaxed. Lovely old farmhouse, excellent breakfast, very good WiFi signal, good phone signal (with EE), ideal spot for walkers.

Last three miles to get there on narrow, winding roads, but worth it for the destination.

Refuge in the countryside

Pretty farm house in the gorgeous countryside! Comfortable little room with nice amenities - well stocked tea tray and fluffy towels! Our host made the most delicious breakfasts! There was a fridge available to put a few items in as well. Pretty easy to find through tiny country lanes.

Wow, on top of the great weather, the accommodation was wonderful. Sarah was so welcoming on reception, and we were met with kindness and a smile, just what you need after a three hour drive. Beautiful setting the room was clean and fresh with an amazing view. The bathroom was spacious, clean,and inviting. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was cooked fresh by our amazing host who clearly takes pride in her business. I don't think I could recommend this place higher. Thank you so much Sarah for making our mini break perfect, carnt wait to come back.
