Convenient location

It's a 3 minutes walk from the train station. Clean and comfortable. No much noise in room number 9. Fast Self check-in and check-out.

A tad too cold in the room and the temperature couldn't be changed. Too many automated messages from the hotel.

The location of the hotel is the best asset of our stay. It is extremely close to the bus stations and train station. The room size was also great. It was clean and warm. I would definitely stay in the same hotel again.

There was no coffee for two days, which was solved afterwards. This wasn't an important issue but worth to share.

Basel Short Trip

Easy check in/out - all automated. Quiet guests & street. Comfortable beds. Large room. Great bathroom. 5 mins walk to the main station and tram/bus stops.

English channels on TV did not work. Not a problem. I could use free internet & connect via my tablet. Plus, I always have a book.

Great location and good room, but running it without staff is a bad failure

The room was large and comfortable

There was no staff at all, check-in was purely electronic and slow, and I wish I had been told this before arrival so I could understand why the online check-in was offered. The bathroom had a lot of black mould and looked very unpleasant. A good clean with black mould spray could have fixed this, but where are the staff to speak to? I hated the complete absence of staff.

Noisy even though not direct at the tracks (which I had checked before). Check-in process tedious as they have no staff but their check in computer sometimes freezes and doesn‘t react to any input.

there is no staff, only a terminal for check-in and the intercom outside the entrance to speak with any ghosts in the machine (don't look for 'united states' or 'usa' in the menu - try 'america'?)

Perfect stopover, nice and central easy to find

Very central and close to the train station., but equally well placed for exploring Basel. Comfortable beds, clean with pleasant smell when we entered the room. Great to have coffee and tea making facilities in the entrance hall.

We found self check in just a little bit stressful but equally thought this the way forward for hotels in general.

The motel is simple with good functioning self check-in. Nothing special in it but everything I needed to sleep and take a good shower. Comfortably close to the train station but no noise at all.

Overall good money value

Clean modern room with spacious bathroom. Bonus: free water and coffee machine.

Elevator was so small that because of our luggage we got stuck. If you have luggage, ride the elevator alone. Going in the building for the first time we called and rang the bell but it was a bit complicated. Because there is no personnel.

For just sleeping

Rooms were alright but little bit narrow yet clean enough. Location was good close to train station walking distance to city center. There are no reception at hotel but there is a self check in machine which is easy to use but only card to pay, no cash. There are free wifi. At room free basel card were preapered and ready to use which is amazing to have, duration of staying it is free to use the public transportation and some discounts. At entrance there are free coffee and tea.

At day everything is fine but at night location is becoming low life profile. Other guest were really loud and walls are really thin. We didn't feel safe. If you are not with family and looking for place to just for sleeping and nothing more you may choose it otherwise nor recommending.

it is very centric - literally right oitside the main station which is amazing

i’ve stayee here for the 3rd time, and the cleaning ladies in the morning will wake you up! they are extremely loud, in mu case I arrived shortly after 1am and at 8am they were already screaming outside my door… also no heater so a little cold now

Located right next to the station and the bus to the airport which I needed. Automated check in was fine and the room was surprisingly modern and felt good. Free coffee and tea available in the lobby was a good touch. Perfectly comfortable and convenient.

Could t figure out how to warm the room a little more, it was quite chilly.

The room was smelling after cigarettes. Horrible feeling. A way too small for that money. Old tapwater inside the "welcome" bottle. TV didn't work, only radio.
