We loved our stay at San Marco, especially the benefit of the Pool after a days sightseeing.

San Marco Holiday apartments, where perfectly located, just far enough outside the old city walls for peace and quiet, but within comfortable walking distance to see all the main sites of Lucca. Stephano was the perfect host, A friendly, welcoming smile. Gave us all the relevent information needed and gave welcome tips for our stay. All round, a great experience.

Easy

The guy who helped us, and rusty were amazing and so helpful. Provided great advice, the pool is very nice and clean. Rooms are also incredibly clean, the pictures definitely don’t do it justice, airconditioning was amazing to have during our HOT stay. location is also amazing, 8 minute walk and you’re at the city walls

Welcoming and relaxing

A great little spot just any easy stroll out of the main walled area of Lucca. The owners were very friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and looked after. A great pool area with 15 sunbeds around the pool with umbrellas for shade and a great roof top area too. You even get the use of pool towels. All outdoor furniture seems new. Great for people with cars and/or if they like a walk or cycle into town.

There was nothing to dislike. The photos on here don't do it justice.

Best of both worlds - ideal spot to relax & unwind by the pool with lots of culture on your doorstep

Lovely, well appointed apartment with 2 balconies - only 10 apartments in total so doesn't feel too busy or crowded! Really nice pool area with plenty of sun loungers & superb, sun terrace with comfy couches & plenty of tables & chairs for outdoor dining. Very friendly & helpful owners. Nice local shops for provisions & only 300 metres from the city walls - perfect spot to relax during the day & then potter around the old streets in the evening. Ample parking too so a good base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. A real gem - the photos don't do it justice!

The host was very nice and friendly. Location is good (less than 10minutes walk from the city centar). Appartment was clean, comfortable, spacious and has everthing you need on a vacation. Plus, the pool and parking are available.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and nice. Property is a 5min walk outside the walls of Lucca. It is decorated in modern colours and was very clean and comfortable. There is a small working kitchen. Nice small pool with chairs etc and a barbecue for guests use. There are shops nearby, bakery, butcher, cafe.

A Gem in Lucca

Very clean , comfortable apartment. Furnished to a very good standard. Everything one needs for a great stay in Lucca. This property also has a pool for the stays in hot weather. Only a short walk to the city wall. Stefano check us in and made sure we had everything we needed. Fantastic host.

We loved the pool and the private front yard. The high chair and the cot for a baby were really good. The place was spotlessly clean and the room was spacious. Free parking was a plus.

There was no laundry service as advertised and we were told to go to a coin laundry. The kitchen amenities were a bit limited and the bed was not very comfortable.

Really great people and the rooms are really nice. Had a short swim was also nice. Very close to the wall.

The WiFi was not very strong. It was quite expensive but perhaps this had something to do with the festival in Lucca.

Excellent Location for a Lucca Stay

San Marco Holidays is in a great location just outside the walls of Lucca's historic center. The room is a modified studio with separation between the living area and the bed area. The place is spotlessly clean and offers more housekeeping service than is normal with this type of property. The kitchen is small but sufficient. The bathroom has a generous shower and great hot water and water pressure. Each unit has a semi-private outdoor space. Parking is great. The pool area looks like it would be lovely in the summer. Stefano was helpful in getting us a wifi repeater to boost the signal and a cushy pad for the bed. Really appreciate that! There are a couple of bars, restaurants, a bakery, and a meat market just down the street.

The mattress is quite firm and it was hard on my hips and knees until Stefano provided an extra pad. Some hooks in the bedroom area for hanging a few items of clothing would be nice. An oven mitt would be a good addition in the kitchen.

We had an amazing stay at holudays San Marco. The staff were lovely and kind. We cycled into city walls 2mins . The pool was lively and clean. The outside terrace area was excellent. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back.

The place is really nice. Rooms are spacious and kept very clean, they provide some coffee free of charge, everything in the fridge is very reasonably priced, swimming pool is very nice, girlfriend enjoyed the sunbeds, good private parking, nice staff, sockets next to the bed, aircondition, humidifier, short walk to the city wall. I would say a 9 for this place is well deserved.

This is a small thing, but the only thing I think that could be improved was the wifi. The connection to the wifi routers was good, both at the swimming pool and in the room. The problem was that the connection from the hotel to the internet was frequently unavailable or very slow. For me personally not a big issue as I have a work mobile plan with loads of data, but for the girlfriend she was quite limited by it. Asked the staff and they were very willing to try and resolve it, didnt seem to have any issues themselves, but as we had it on two phones (and I am not new to IT) I am quite sure it was not just us but a more general issue. Didnt mention it a second time after it kept persisiting, so cannot blame them, overall a minor thing but think it is worth mentioning.

Fabulous Lucca apartment

The apartment was spacious and well equipped. The air conditioning worked well and the shutters and curtains kept it quiet. We had a balcony overlooking the pool and spent many hours watching the world go by. An easy ten minute walk into the city.

Perfect stay in Lucca

The whole place is very new and modern. The pool is awesome! The room (and the bathroom too) was very big and comfortable, the bed was perfect for us. The kitchen is well-equipped, the whole apartment had everything we need. It's also very close to the city center. The staff was very kind. The free private parking was available (it has enough place), which was very important for us. We will definitely come back and recommend San Marco Holidays to our friends!

Host is very communicative and gave us many tips to explore Lucca and around. Our younger kid had a little "wet" accident in the night and we got new sheets not just on kids sofa bed but also on our regular bed. Very responsive, polite and willing to help. Apartment itself is very modern, equipped with all you need, pool is a super bonus. Very close to Lucca city walls (5 min easy walking). Clean, cosy, comfortable. Top recommendation!!!

We were with kids and we were placed in 2+2 appartment. Kids slept on sofa bed which was OK for them. It could be a bit uncomfortable if adult persons would sleep on it. All other things are superb.

Apartment and pool are even better then in the pictures, spacious enough with everything you need plus a balcony. Next to that Stefano was a great host upon check in with excellent tips for lunch, breakfast etc.

Absolutely worth it's stellar rating. The place feels like home.

Very friendly staff. Cozy rooms with all the things you need. Pool is great, spent a lot of time there and had it to ourselves all of the time. The place is quiet because the whole building only has a few apartments. Old town is a 10 minute walk away. Been there on 2 occasions now and will be back for sure.

Everything! Excellent location, service,room,bed,the kitchen well equipped(i can assure you that everything is there and in excellent condition), just heaven! Meat,bread, pizza, everything in 2minutes walking distance, an excellent location for people who come by plane.
