This hotel honestly gave me the best experience I’ve ever had. Everything about it was spot on—the setting, the facilities, the little touches in the amenities, and especially the staff, who couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful. My room was big and comfortable, but the highlight was the view: the grounds stretching out beautifully with the lake just beyond. Waking up to that felt like a dream. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this one did. I left already wanting to come back.

- a wonderful palace - the location is unbelievable - staff were professional - enjoyed my stay very much - the view from the room is amazing - beds were comfortable

Looks splendid from outside but with very shabby interior decor

The reception staff, who were attentive and courteous, helped us with our luggage and made a reservation for our restaurant dinner.

Upon checking into our room, we observed a building under construction directly in front of it. As it was Sunday, no construction activities were taking place at that time. The following morning, I woke up early at 7 AM and positioned myself on the balcony in anticipation of a spectacular sunrise view. However, I was immediately disturbed by loud noises from the construction site, and upon making eye contact with the workers, I became significantly distressed. This commotion also awakened my wife and daughter from their sleep. Despite being offered a discount on hotel dining and a late check-out option, we deemed the stay unsatisfactory given the $1,000 daily rate and substandard room decor. The overall experience reflected a 3-star rather than a 5-star accommodation standard.

Our first room which was the standard king room and it had many issues (old, neglected furniture, flashing light, unusable plug sockets, peeling paint) that we would not expect at a property of this calibre. We were moved to another room and staff were helpful but we did feel the pictures on booking.com were not reflective of the actual room itself. The pool area was quite small and when we went to it there was loud DJ music playing which wasn’t to our taste.

An exceptional hotel at an amazing location for a perfect stay.

Welcomed by friendly staff and very helpful concierge who help us plan our overall experience in the region. The room was absolutely amazing and the breakfast was super impressive. The spa, fitness and pool facilities also exceptional as was the restaurant on the lake.

Fab stay was a bit surprised to see building work, but in all it didn’t affect the stay much. Facilities was fantastic.

All the facilities were outstanding. Beautiful room, with a fantastic view of the lake.

Didn’t realise the hotel had refurbishment so when expecting the outstanding lake view in one direction all you saw was building work and scaffolding! I just looked left instead! 😊

Lovely location some Staff after a deal / commission !

The property is lovely and very nicely located

On arrival we were asked if we would like to benefit from an upgrade - we said ooh yes please (as when offered before it was always complementary) then after 30 mins wait we were told it’s £1000 extra a night !!! It was a deal and the man bartered that basically our room at 650 Swiss francs was a bit rubbish! We needless to say didn’t upgrade but we’re annoyed as we were for 30 Mins left to believe our upgrade was complementary and then made to feel a little second class !
