Wonderful stay would love to return.

The property location and views are wonderful. Claudine was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The room was large with double bed and bunk beds for the kids. The balcony has wonderful views over the lake.

I hadn’t realised I booked a shared bathroom but it wasn’t really a problem as it is only shared with another double room. The kitchen area is also shared again not a big problem.

The location is amazing and host is nice. I liked it was dog friendly.

The wifi is HORRIBLE. Barely works. Had to use my Hotspot and that also was not so great. I work remotely travelling the world and was a bit disappointed with wifi. Lot of people sharing one bathroom and kitchen. I also work some hours on asia schedule and some us. I was trying to nap for a few hours around noon and the host vacuumed (ok I understand) but also talked very loudly outside the room for hours. I guess I am used to the swiss German side where this would not have happened.

it was our worst stay at Europe trip. Switzerland despite being so costly but services provided are worst. Could meet care taker staff only once in 2 days. Approach is difficult, its eqivalant to 3rd floor on hills. If you have luggage, then its a real issue. No attached toilet. Single Toilet and kitchen through small common area are shared between approx 6-9 occupants of 3 rooms of a 2 bhk flat (1 hall is converted into room with bunk bed -that was alloted to us). Kitchen and utencils were not clean. We choose this facility as we are vegetarian and would be able to heat the semicook meal from market in kitchen. But oven was dirty and smelling meat / beaf. So we have to eat semicook market stuff that night and next day at restaurant. Doors does not have latches. Even toilet need to be locked from inside only by ill-fitting keys. Booking.com should provide theses information about shared toilets / shared kitchen / how many steps to reach the property (access), so that we can decide or prepared before booking. Cleanliness, latches on door - ??? how to decide Does booking.com survey before putting up any property on its website or just commission matters

View from balcony is magical . Close to train station

No air conditioning which was the biggest downside for us as we had very hot days. You have to climb high stairs to get to the house so I would not recommend it for everyone .

Location is good, near to bus stop and train station, easy access to the promenade etc. But it’s a hike up to the property, not easy with elderly parents and heavy luggages.

The worst guest house I have ever stayed. Hard to find it, hard to reach it (you need to climb up a lot of external steps from the street which is full of traffic! Very hard and unsafe). No view from the room (despite the place is called "the beautiful view")!

Really dirty, shared bathrooom with broken toilet , hair in the bathtub, really dirty kitchen. No parking nearby. Really hard to get there with suitcases because it is located on the mountain. We didn’t have any view from our room. Smell was awful, it smelled something really old.

Pleasant and welcoming property that I want to stay again.

The view from the property is exceptional. Especially on a sunny day, the view from the terrace is beautiful. The owner of this property is really nice and welcomed me with a warm heart.

If you carry a heavy luggage from the station, it will be hard to carry that to the property since the way to the property is not flat.

Views were absolute stunning, massive room to our selves looking over the alps. Kitchen was spacious and full equipped. Everything was accessible

The best place to stay in Montreux

This place is just amazing. It's very clean, comfortable to stay at, the view is amazing and the host is super-friendly. I truly liked my stay here. This place is a gem in Montreux. It's just a 5? minutes' walk from the train station. Do not go out of the main exit of the station. It's much faster to get to this place from the backside(where the train going to Glion is) of the station. The rooms have amazing lake views or a garden view with a lake view. Like the name of this place, it's overlooking the lake Leman. You'll be mesmerized by the breathtaking scenery day and night. The bed is very comfortable with a high quality blanket. The kitchen is well equipped and very clean. There's good coffee and tea, too. The host, Claudine, is such a friendly, helpful and genuine person. Two thumbs up and highly recommended:)♡♡♡

Pay the extra money to get the room with the view.

It was not expensive for Montreux and the hostess was very nice. She took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped as was the bathroom.

The toilet was missing the cover for the flushing mechanism and the bathroom overall could use an upgrade. The walls were thin and the rooms were close together so you could hear everything that was going on with adjacent guests. The doors were quite loud. Our room was a double and it was very basic with no view, no TV, and weak internet. There was a family staying next door (they had the beautiful view we wished we had) and they took over the shared bathroom for an hour. After this experience I will no longer book a room without a bathroom. Parking was a problem. We had to find a space on the street and put money in the meter every 2 hours. Since we were staying for 3 days, that was unsustainable so we found a parking garage further away, but it was expensive (the host offered to give up her space in her private garage, which was very nice of her, but the timing was inconvenient, and it didn't feel right to ask that of her). You'll need to be somewhat fit to walk up the hill. It wasn't easy bringing suitcases up from the car.

Great place with fantastic views

Three of us stayed here for two nights in Sept 2023. The location is quite convenient and is less than 15 minutes walk from the station and the lakeside. However, it is up the hill so be prepared for a bit of a climb to get there. Having said that, since it is higher up you are rewarded with fantastic views of the lake and we enjoyed a glorious sunset one evening. The apartment also had a small balcony. Our hostess was really charming and she was very helpful and chatty, sharing some home-grown produce from her small garden at the rear. Another thing to know is that we had a room at the front which had its own bathroom but with a shared kitchen with the occupants of the next door apartment. Not a problem - but worth knowing. We were also fortunate enough to be in Montreux when the Freddie Mercury tribute band were playing a free concert in the town. Fantastic memories!

Extremely friendly property with breathtaking view and lovely host

We stayed as a couple with two children (5y + small baby). We can attest that this place is extremely family friendly. It also offers a stunning view over the lake and to the mountains. It is truly breathtaking and for us it was the most beautiful view we ever had from a bedroom. We enjoyed a very spacious and pretty room (technically two connected rooms plus a bathroom and a nice balcony). The house also has a garden :) The location is great. It's meters from a very tasty Italian restaurant and close to everything in Montreux and the lake. The host Claudine is lovely. She's a truly beautiful soul who invests in her guests and the place and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. She even arranged for parking on request. Overall our experience was exceptional ❤️ We really wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be coming back!

Stroller (and suitcase) needs to carried up as the house is on steps but for us it was a "one time" as we came with an extra mini stroller and it was super worth it for the view

Superb

Is a traditional house of Swiss. very unique on the hill. we had a wonderful view of the lake. we really enjoy the sunrise, sunset & all time of the day. is so so beautiful….. Thanks Claudine for hosting us. Claudine had a beautiful garden grown different herbs veggies & fruits trees. Feel so good to have this experience in this little warm & cosy place. Will look forward to come back again.

Claudine is a fantastic host. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The view is fantastic in a wonderful city. The hike up to the property made us feel like locals.

The stairs up to the property are tiring, but the views pay off. I would make sure to plan to travel light and it is a very enjoyable stay.
