La plus belle vue du lac Léman

The view!! Sensational! The host is super lovely and the room was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need to cook at home but there is yummy pizza just down the road. Complimentary tea and coffee pods was a nice touch. Bonus getting to meet Lady the chocolate lab as we were missing our own dog at home. There are regular trains passing just behind the house but they are surprisingly fast and quiet which didn’t bother us at all. These few days were a highlight of our trip and we all wished we had stayed just a little longer.

While it is super close to the train station, the walk to get there is practically vertical! The views are worth the calf work out but less mobile people might struggle.

The property was in a great location with fabulous views. The host Claudine is very welcoming and friendly and gave us very helpful information about the area. We stayed in a very spacious room with a balcony and lake view - plenty of space for a family of four including two teenagers. We shared a bathroom with one other double room which worked out fine and also had shared use of the kitchen. There is also a garden and it was very pleasant to have drinks there in the evening and watch the sun set. Claudine has a dog, 2 cats and a tortoise whom my daughter loved interacting with. The property is situated up a steep hill and quite a few steps but is really close to the station and anyone of average fitness should be fine, we managed it with our big interrailing back packs. We loved our stay in Montreux - highlights swimming in the lake, hiring a boat on the lake, train up to Rochers - de -Naye (although sadly no marmots) and visiting the Charlie Chaplin Museum. If we are lucky enough to go back to Montreux we would definitely stay at Claudine's place again.

It has a beautiful view from the bedroom and it is clean with a kitchen.

Just the steps

The view is incredible and great welcome but it comes with a few hurdles.

Location wise you have to walk a few hills, not a worry but the stair climb to access property needs better outlining, can be a struggle with bigger luggage and those slightly older .The train passing right outside the back room until midnight and again from 4am doesn’t help with sleep. The heat with this summer needs more fans for ease of sleeping. Not sure if the shared idea was for us or I might have miss understood, but you actually share a floor with another room and the shared kitchen. I better cleaning would have definitely made for higher grading.
